Tanev (ankle) still week-to-week battling an ankle injury, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
The defenseman hasn't played in a game since November 2nd, and still seems a ways away from returning. When he does return, he won't likely be a great fantasy option, considering he only had one point in seven games before going down. He was averaging about 20 minutes per game at the start of the year, so when he's back he will probably get the minutes necessary to jump start some scoring, but don't count on it.

Tanev (lower body) is approximately 10 days away from rejoining the lineup.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev has been sidelined since early November with the lower-body issue, but appears to be moving in the right direction. More on the blueliner's status should arise as he begins closing in on a return, but his lack of offensive production leaves Tanev off the fantasy radar in the majority of leagues.

Tanev (lower body) is listed on the Canuck's injured reserve according to the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev's injury was thought to be something a bit more serious and this move to IR confirms that. His one assist on the year certainly doesn't make for a dazzling stat line, but his 20:10 of average ice time will need to be filled by the next man up in Vancouver, who very well could be Philip Larsen and/or Nikita Tryamkin.

Tanev (lower body) is "something a little longer" than day-to-day according to coach Willie Desjardins.
EDGE Analysis
The defenseman has one assist in seven games this year, so the injury likely doesn't have too much fantasy impact. That said, if he misses much time, a call up will be likely, which could be an interesting fantasy situation.

Tanev will miss Thursday's game in Ottawa with a lower-body injury, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev likely aggravated the injury, which kept him out of three games at the end of October, during Wednesday's game in Montreal. Considering Tanev has only one point in seven games this season, fantasy owners aren't likely to lose sleep over this one. Nikita Tryamkin will play in his first game of the season due to Tanev's absence.

Tanev (undisclosed) has been cleared to return Wednesday against Montreal, Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev has been sidelined for the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but has been activated from injured reserve in time to play against the Canadiens. The blueliner was struggling offensively prior to picking up this malady as he tallied a mere one assist in six contests. Having never been a prolific scorer, the 26-year-old may not be the best defender to hitch your horse to for your fantasy lineups.

Canucks coach Willie Desjardins is hoping Tanev (undisclosed) will be fit to return Wednesday night against the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev was able to participate in the optional morning skate Wednesday, which seems to put Tanev on the better side of questionable for the upcoming contest. His availability is likely to be determined closer to pregame warm-ups.

Tanev (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tanev, a shot-blocking extraordinaire, will be eligible to return Nov. 2 for a road game against the Canadiens. Meanwhile, the Canucks have recalled Mike Zalewski from AHL Utica, giving them eight healthy blueliners on the active roster.

Tanev (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Senators, but could return to action as soon as Friday against Edmonton, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the veteran blueliner out of the lineup Tuesday, Troy Stecher is set to make his NHL debut against the Senators, and will likely slot into Tanev's spot on the Canucks' top pairing for the contest. Tanev has very little offensive upside, and shouldn't be owned in the majority of season-long leagues, so his absence shouldn't affect many fantasy owners' lineups. A definitive timetable for the 26-year-old defender's return to game action has yet to be established, but owners keeping tabs on his availability can expect an update on his status once he's slated to return to Vancouver's lineup.

Tanev is dealing with an undisclosed injury that leaves him questionable for Tuesday's game against the Senators, Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Canucks recalled Troy Stecher from AHL Utica on Monday, suggesting further that Tanev may not be good to go for the contest. Despite being one of the team's top pairing, Tanev doesn't provide much support on the offensive end of the ice and isn't a member of the power play. His loss would be more devastating to the Canucks than in the majority of fantasy leagues. More information on his injury and availability should arise Tuesday, if not before then.
