Kunitz scored one goal and assisted on a pair of others in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
He now has more points in his last two games (5) than he did in his first 23, when he totaled two goals. Kunitz might be past his prime, but he's playing well and will go against the team which originally signed him Sunday in Anaheim.

Kunitz practiced on Pittsburgh's top line Thursday along with Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis, Jonathan Bombulie of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kunitz picked up his first two assists of the season Tuesday while skating on the top line for the first time since October. The forward has only five points all season long but makes for a interesting short-term play while he's hot and skating with Crosby.

Kunitz picked up a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- for his first multi-point game of the season in Tuesday's 5-1 win against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Surprisingly the two assists were Kunitz's first of the season as the veteran winger has started to show his age despite playing on a line with Sidney Crosby. Oddly enough he got his assists on Evgeni Malkin and David Perron's goals, so perhaps Kunitz can get things going with more time on the man advantage.

Kunitz will play left wing on Pittsburgh's top line with Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis on Tuesday against San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Mike Johnston reunited a line which help gave the Pens plenty of wins over the past five seasons, but it remains to be seen how the two 36-year-old's plus Crosby will fare Tuesday against the Sharks. Kunitz has totaled three points in 23 games and dating back to February, the winger has been limited to five goals in 56 contests.

Kunitz scored his first goal in nine games Thursday against the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Kunitz, who skated with Nick Bonino and Beau Bennett, has helped to give the team a solid third line. While the days of him averaging just under a point per game are likely gone, he leads the Pens with 72 hits (Patric Hornqvist is second with 48) and has adjusted well to his new role.

Kunitz (undisclosed) participated in line rushed in pregame warmups and will play in Wednesday's game against the Canucks, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kunitz is expected to skate alongside Nick Bonino and Beau Bennett on the Penguins' third line in Wednesday's tilt. The 36-year-old winger has tallied two goals in 11 games with Pittsburgh this season.

Kunitz (undisclosed) is probable for Wednesday's tilt against the Canucks, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kunitz didn't practice Sunday or Monday, but returned to the ice for Wednesday's morning skate, indicating he should be good to go Wednesday night against Vancouver. Either way, the 36-year-old's availability for the contest should be confirmed prior to puck drop Wednesday night.

Pens coach Mike Johnston said there is no signal as to whether Kunitz (undisclosed) will play Wednesday against the Canucks, ROOT Sports Pittsburgh reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnston probably won't have another update for Kunitz until after Wednesday's morning skate. The forward has missed the team's last two practices sandwiched around an offday Monday.

Kunitz missed practice with a maintenance day Sunday for Pittsburgh, which did not practice Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Mike Johnston said he rested Kunitz because the team plays three games in four days -- he's not expected to miss Wednesday in Vancouver. The winger has looked more comfortable since being pushed to the third line, scoring two goals in his last four games. Kunitz's game is better suited for a bottom-six role but if he continues playing well he could find himself back with Sidney Crosby, given the team's penchant for changing lines.

Kunitz, who scored a goal for Pittsburgh on Saturday, has seven goals and 11 points in his last 11 games against Washington (Wednesday's opponent), the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although the Penguins took Kunitz off the team's top power play in favor of Patric Hornqvist during the morning skate, coach Mike Johnston has tinkered with Kunitz and Hornqvist all season long. After a horrendous start, it's possible that Kunitz finds his game after a beautiful slap-shot goal against the Predators over the weekend.
