Soderberg notched a power play goal in Monday's 4-2 win over New Jersey.
Through 16 games, Soderberg -- who has six points in his last five outings -- has recorded five goals and a team-high 13 points for the Bruins overall. The 29-year-old center is slated to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, and his strong play out of the gate presumably puts him in line for a big payday when he signs his next NHL deal.

Soderberg scored the game-winning goal on a third-period power play and added an assist Thursday against the Oilers.
The 29-year-old has clearly grown his game from last year, distributing the puck effectively and finding the net a bit more regularly too. It adds up to a very respectable 12 points in 15 games, which is a 64-point pace.

Soderberg picked up a pair of assists in Wednesday's win over the Flyers.
Soderberg is expected to have an increased role on this year's squad, and if he can continue to impress while top line center David Krejci (undisclosed) is sidelined, the Swede could be a nice early pickup for struggling fantasy rosters.

Soderberg is projected to center a line featuring Chris Kelly and Matt Fraser on Tuesday against the Islanders, the Bruins' official site reports.
It's a trio that could remain in place to start the season, thanks to Fraser's strong preseason. In any case, Soderberg, who recorded 48 points in 73 games with the Bruins last season, the 6-3 pivot is a candidateto see an uptick in production, while opening the season at his preferred position and a power-play role on tap.

Carl Soderberg led the way for the Bruins with three points in their 4-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 5 on Saturday night.
It cannot be understated: the Bruins' depth is again paying big dividends. The third line that includes Soderberg (goal, two assists), Loui Eriksson (goal, assist) and Matt Fraser (assist) was a handful in this one. The fact coach Claude Julien can roll out four lines that can contribute offensively and is reliable defensively is what all teams aspire to develop, and it makes a difference during the grind of the playoffs. Reilly Smith and Jarome Iginla scored the other goals for Boston, which now leads the second-round series 3-2.

Carl Soderberg won't play Thursday night because he's returned home for the birth of his child.
His wife was slated to give birth at some point this week. Soderberg was able to play Wednesday and he registered his 16th goal of the year. He should be back for Saturday's game versus Philadelphia.
