Connolly left Wednesday's practice early after taking a puck to the hand. Per the report, the newly-acquired Connolly is being evaluated by team doctors, which clouds his status for Thursday's game against the Flames.

Connolly has been traded to Boston for a pair of second-round picks, TSN.ca reports. The Bruins may be able to find a more consistent role for Connolly, and it's clear from the package that they gave up that he's going to become a reasonable large part of their plans. Connolly has 15 points (12 G, 3 A) and a plus-4 rating through 50 games with the Bolts this season.

Connolly scored his 10th goal and collected seven penalty minutes Tuesday in an overtime loss to NashvilleA second-period holding penalty immediately followed by a fight contributed to a nice, round fantasy line for the No. 6 pick in the 2010 draft. The 10 goals are a nice start, but Connolly still owns just 14 points on the season. Still, he's showing good physicality and has a track record of production at the AHL level, so Connolly still has plenty of upside at age 22.

Connolly picked up another assist in Tuesday's loss to the Predators. He now has three assists in his last two games.He has elite skills, but opportunity, ice time and stalled development have limited his impact in the NHL. His fantasy value remains limited right now, but it's hard to give up on him in dynasty formats.

Connolly dished out two assists in Sunday's win over the Ducks. Connolly now has 12 points (nine goals) in 41 games. Considering he's only seeing 11:54 of average ice time and has been a healthy scratch at times this season, Connolly will need to see increased ice time and show more consistency before we can recommend him in anything but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Connolly gives the Lightning a dash more of offensive upside in their bottom six, but coach Jon Cooper will opt for the speed of J.T. Brown, who reenters the lineup in place of the winger. He may be able to set another personal best if he can get more than 15 points, but he won't add much more than that.

Connolly (lower body) will be back in the lineup Thursday against the Maple Leafs, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Connolly cleared the final hurdle for his return by participating fully in the team's morning skate, where he was slotted on the fourth line with Brenden Morrow and Brian Boyle. The 22-year-old had two points in eight games prior to miss the team's last 12 contests with the lower-body ailment.
