Connolly skated Tuesday morning on a line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.
EDGE Analysis
Though Matt Beleskey could return to action Tuesday against the Coyotes, it looks like Connolly will continue to skate on Bergeron's re-tooled line. After a slow start in which he did not record a point, while recording a minus-5 mark in three games to start the season, Connolly has bounced back nicely with two goals and an assist, to go along with a plus-2 rating over his last three outings.

EDGE Analysis
Connolly had a successful return to the ice on Wednesday after being a healthy scratch in the Bruin's previous game. With Brad Marchand (concussion) returning to the Bruins' lineup, Brett Connolly is set to be a healthy scratch Saturday against the Coyotes, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Connolly played pretty well in Marchand's place on the Bruins' top line Wednesday against the Avalanche, managing to tally an assist and one shot on goal in the tilt. He'll watch Saturday's game from the press box, and may need to wait for another injury to a Bruins' forward to draw back into Boston's lineup.

Heading into Monday's game against the Lightning, Connolly is in line to fill in for Brad Marchand on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Loui Eriksson.
EDGE Analysis
Through two games, Connolly has not recorded a point and has recorded a minus-4 rating, but a move up to Bergeron's line could spark an uptick in opportunities for the 23-year-old winger, who will face his former team on Monday. It remains to be seen how long the newly-formed trio will stick, but with that in mind, it's worth noting that Marchand is dealing with a concussion and at this stage it's unclear when he'll be back in action.

Connolly has been skating on a line with Ryan Spooner and Jimmy Hayes of late, csnne.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 6-foot-2, 181-pounder is coming off a 2014-15 campaign in which he recorded a modest total of 12 goals and 17 points in 55 NHL games, including five in a Boston uniform following his trade from Tampa Bay. That said, as Connolly approaches his first full season with the B's, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft still possesses some untapped potential, thanks to his combo of size, skill and dangerous shot.

Connolly signed a one-year, $1.025 million contract with the Bruins on Monday. With the departures of Carl Soderberg and Milan Lucic this offseason, Connolly has a real shot at sliding into the Bruins' top-six forward group in 2015-16. He tallied 12 goals and 17 points in 55 NHL games last season, and has shown he is capable of being a solid offensive contributor. He will likely be competing with fellow newcomer Jimmy Hayes for the final forward spot in the Bruins' top-six in training camp.

The Bruins have extended a qualifying offer to Connolly, csnne.com reports. The same applies to fellow forward Ryan Spooner, with both restricted free agents ticketed for regular duty this coming season, more so with the the team having parted ways with forwards Carl Soderberg and Milan Lucic. While it's too early to get a great read on how the B's lines might shake out next season, Connolly has a shot to land a top-six role and in such a scenario, he could emerge on the fantasy radar. He's coming off a 2014-15 campaign in which he recorded 12 goals and 17 points in 55 NHL games, including five in a Boston uniform following his trade from Tampa Bay.

Connolly, making his return from a finger injury and his Bruins debut, was key to Thursday's comeback win over Detroit, assisting on his team's first goal as well as the game-winner late in the third period. He skated just a modest 12:44 in his first game as a Bruin, but certainly fit right in despite having missed a month of action thanks to the finger issue. Connolly never got a great chance in Tampa Bay, but it wouldn't be terribly surprising to see 2010's No. 6 overall pick flourish in Boston.

Connolly (finger) is taking part in line rushes during the Bruins' pregame warmups, suggesting he'll play Thursday against the Red Wings, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports. Acquired by the Bruins prior to the trade deadline, Connolly suffered a broken finger in his second practice with the team and missed a month due to the injury. He was initially projected to sit out the rest of the season, but improved quicker than anticipated and now looks poised to make his long-awaited team debut. The winger is slated to skate on the fourth line with Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell.

When asked if Connolly (finger) will play Thursday against Detroit, coach Claude Julien said "we'll see." Connolly's status for the contest probably won't be clarified until pre-game warmups, though if he does suit up, he'll likely debut on the B's fourth line, making him a speculative fantasy play in such a scenario.
