Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe suggests that there's a good chance that Connolly (finger) will suit up Thursday against the Red Wings.
"I feel good enough to go," Connolly indicated. "I don't really think the finger can get worse. I think I'm pretty much ready to go." Look for added info on the winger's status to arrive following the Bruins' morning skate, but based on Wednesday's practice, if Connolly does join the B's lineup Thursday, he'd likely work on the team's fourth line.

Connolly (finger) -- who absorbed contact at practice Wednesday -- hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's game against Detroit.
Per csnne.com, Connolly saw some work with the B's fourth line during Wednesday's practice and even if the winger doesn't play Thursday, his return to action doesn't seem far off at this stage. Prior to injuring his finger back on March 4, Connolly recorded 12 goals and 15 points in 50 games for the Lighting.

Connolly (finger) took part in contact drills at end of Wednesday's practice, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports.
Absorbing contact represents further progress for Connolly, who suffered a broken right index finger back on March 4. The Bruins have five more regular season games on tap and it now looks like there's a solid chance we'll see Connolly in the lineup before the team's slate concludes.

Connolly (finger) skated during the Bruins' pregame warmups Tuesday, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
While Connolly won't make his team debut in Tuesday's tilt with the Panthers, his participation in warmups is further evidence that he's nearly recovered from the broken finger. He could start seeing increased contact work and upcoming practices before getting cleared for the Bruins' final few games of the regular season.

According to coach Claude Julien, Connolly (finger) is "getting closer" to a return to action.
Connolly has been able to skate with the B's, so once he gets the green light from the team's doctors, the forward's return will largely hinge on his comfort level while shooting, as well as battling for pucks.

Connolly (finger) took part in line rushes during Friday's practice.
Connolly alternated in and out with David Pastrnak as the right wing on the Bruins' second pairing. The fact that he didn't have a spot to himself suggests that Connolly probably won't be an option over the next couple of games for the Bruins, but the team isn't closing the door on the forward joining the lineup before season's end. Connolly's progress will remain under evaluation over the next couple of days before the Bruins reach a possible target date for his return.

Connolly (fractured right finger) practiced with the team at Thursday's morning session, CSN New England's Joe Haggerty reports.
Connolly was only skating as an extra forward during the session, but his presence with the team represents a positive step nonetheless after he was previously limited to skating on his own. The 22-year-old was initially expected to miss the remainder of the regular season after suffering the injury in his second day of practice with the Bruins back in early March, but the forward seems to be progressing quicker than anticipated. With nine games still left on the Bruins' schedule, he just might have enough time to suit up for the team before the season draws to a close.

Connolly, who suffered a broken right index finger on March 4, has resumed skating with the Bruins, the team's official site reports.
Connolly is still sporting a cast on his right hand, so his return is not imminent. That said, given that Connolly is back on the ice again, conditioning shouldn't be much of an issue by the time his finger heals up. At that point, Connolly's ability to play will hinge on how well he is able to grip his stick and shoot the puck.

Connolly (broken finger) underwent successful surgery Thursday morning, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
As was suggested earlier in the week, Connolly will be forced to miss the next six weeks while he heals up, taking a return before the end of the regular season off the table. The Bruins failed to get a single game from Connolly following his acquisition prior to Monday's trade deadline.

Connolly broke his finger in practice Wednesday and will be out six weeks, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.
Connolly took a puck to the hand during practice and will have to wait to make his Bruins debut after being acquired by the club on Monday's trade deadline. The six week timetable takes him past the team's last regular season game, so Connolly's season could be over even if the Bruins do make the playoffs. The 22-year-old has 15 points through 50 games to date.
