Coburn (lower body) was not on the ice for pregame warm-ups and thus is unlikely to play in Tuesday evening's tilt with the Bruins, NHL.com's Bryan Burns reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn will likely be replaced in the lineup by either Slater Koekkoek or Luke Witkowski. The 31-year-old Calgary native Coburn has potted just one goal and nine assists in 65 games this season, so his absence shouldn't affect fantasy lineups much. His next chance to return will come Friday when the Lightning host Philadelphia.

Coburn (lower body) did not make the trip to Philadelphia, which rules him out for Monday's matchup, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn's absence will have little effect on most fantasy lineups as he is currently bogged down in a 57 game goalless drought and has added just seven helpers over that span. Further depressing the defenseman's value is his limited ability to get shots. The 31-year-old has put a mere four pucks on net in his last four outings, in addition to averaging less than 17 minutes of ice time per game.

Coburn (lower body) is day-to-day, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn has yet to miss a game this season, but he only has 10 points (one goal) over 16:45 of ice time in 65 appearances. With Andrej Sustr (undisclosed) also uncertain, 22-year-old Sloan Koekkoek has a shot to join the lineup.

Coburn inked a three-year contract extension with the Lightning on Friday, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the NHL trade deadline fast approaching, teams are taking a hard look at what the future might bring. Coburn is far from relevant in fantasy hockey since his value comes away from the puck, but he is important to the Bolts as a shutdown type.

Coburn's assist Tuesday snapped a 12-game point drought.
EDGE Analysis
He has just one goal and six assists in 46 games. But that's not his gig -- he's locked into a key shutdown role with the Bolts. Coburn's contributions are clearly greater on the ice than they are in the fantasy arena.

Coburn has five points in 28 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Once upon a time, he teased with 36 points. But that was Coburn's first full season (2007-08). He used to contribute both hits and blocked shots, but those have started to disappear because of controlled minutes. Coburn's lead feet make him a liability in heavy rotation, as the game has gotten faster and his feet slower. There's limited fantasy value, if any, in his game.

Coburn will start the season in Tampa's top four defenders, but will need to prove he can be better in possession to keep that role.
EDGE Analysis
He's big and mobile, and he does a good job of standing guys up at the blue line. But the Bolts got hemmed into their own zone far too many times while he was on the ice last season and that needs to change. They paid a high price to get him (Radko Gudas plus first and third picks in 2015), but saw him deliver the team's worst Corsi For % in the postseason and quite frankly, act like an anchor to defence partner Jason Garrison. He has little fantasy impact, but will negatively affect the performance of others if he can't improve his game.

Coburn (illness) is on the ice for pregame warmups and looks poised to play in Tuesday's Game 6 against the Rangers, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports. The Lightning are skating seven defensemen in their warmups, but it's likely the case where coach Jon Cooper is leaning toward going with only 11 forwards rather than 12, a lineup choice he's made previously in the playoffs. Coburn seems to be fine after participating in both morning skate and warmups, and should be in the lineup for minutes in the mid- to upper-teens.

Coburn (illness) is participating in Tuesday's morning skate, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Coburn fell ill during Sunday's Game 5 and missed most of the final two periods, but with 48 hours to recover, he'll likely be ready for Tuesday's Game 6. If not, the leading candidates to replace him in the lineup would be Mark Barberio, Slater Koekkoek and Luke Witkowski. The Lightning have been using seven defensemen and just 11 forwards, so it's also possible they'd replace Coburn with a forward, likely Jonathan Marchessault.

Coburn missed most of Sunday's Game 5 against the Rangers due to an illness, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Lightning coach Jon Cooper hinted after the game that Coburn was vomiting on the bench, and the defenseman didn't play at all during the second period. Coburn finished with just 5:43 of ice time, after topping 15 minutes in each of the series' first four games. He can be considered day-to-day as the Lightning take a 3-2 series lead back to Tampa Bay for Tuesday's Game 6.
