Coburn (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Saturday's clash with Winnipeg, Caley Chelios of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn will miss his fourth straight outing due to his lower-body malady. The blueliner is still looking for his first goal of the 2017-18 campaign, having registered seven helpers in 25 outings. The 2003 first-round pick hasn't cracked the 10-point threshold since the 2011-12 season, but could challenge for that mark this year -- assuming he can get back to 100 percent soon.

According to coach Jon Cooper, Coburn (lower body) will "remain out for the time being," Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn was sidelined Saturday versus the Sharks and appears set to miss at least his second straight game Tuesday against the Islander -- if not beyond. Since joining Tampa Bay, the blueliner has failed to reach the 15-point mark in four consecutive years, so fantasy owners probably shouldn't be backing on him for offensive contributions once he is cleared to return.

Coburn is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury, but will not play Saturday, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn's absence from Saturday's lineup likely means either Slater Koekkoek or the recently recalled Jamie McBain will slot into the lineup. Meanwhile, Coburn's next opportunity to rejoin the lineup arrives Tuesday against the Islanders.

Coburn is dealing with some "maintenance issues" which kept him out of practice Friday, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
What this means for Coburn's availability heading into Saturday's clash with San Jose is unclear, so fantasy owners will likely have to wait until after the game-day skate to determine the blueliner's status. If he is unable to play, coach Jon Cooper already indicated the Lightning would make "a couple callups,".

Coburn has five assists in 18 games this season and is on pace for his first 20-plus point season since 2011-2012.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn logs heavy minutes and acts as a rudder on the back end for the Bolts. But his fantasy value is marginal -- the offensive opportunities all go to other guys in Tampa.

Coburn notched a primary assist while blocking two shots during Saturday's 7-1 victory over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
That brings Coburn to three points in nine games, while averaging 17:36 of ice time thus far in the 2017-18 season. Still, since the stay-at-home defensemen doesn't have a power-play presence and is averaging similar ice time to last year, another 10-to-15 point season is most likely from the veteran.

Coburn was the third defender on the Lightning's protection list for the upcoming expansion draft.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn's name on the list alongside Victor Hedman and Anton Stralman was a bit surprising, given the potential of impressive rookie Jake Dotchin. But his contract is solid at $3.7 million cap hit each of the next two years. It's a sign the Bolts intend to take a hard run at the Cup in the next couple seasons and Coburn's solid game will go a long way to stabilizing the back end. He may even play foil to new arrival Mikhail Sergachev.

Coburn's ice time has close or over the 20-minute mark in four of the Lightning's contests, but it has been in a defensive role. He does have one assist in those five games.
EDGE Analysis
Coburn's game is all about clearing the crease and keeping the puck out of his own net. His 10 points in 75 games don't bring any fantasy value, but his 101 hits may help in deep, deep formats.

Coburn scored a goal in Monday's 5-1 victory over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Don't look now, but Coburn has a point in each of his last two games. Go figure. Coburn once tallied 36 points in his first full season in Philly way back in 2007-08, but that was a one-season wonder. This year, he has just eight points (three goals, five assists) in 59 games, making him better on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

Coburn potted his second goal of the season in Tuesday's 5-0 win against the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
The marker ended a 21-game drought without lighting the lamp. Coburn also tacked on three blocked shots, a minor penalty and a hit to give fantasy owners some much-needed production. He isn't much of a scorer, and his biggest contribution in deeper pools is in the blocks (48) and hits (76) categories.
