Point (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's meeting with the Bruins, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Point has been sidelined for Tampa's last 14 contests as he works his way back from this upper-body ailment. It should be noted that the winger has been activated off injured reserve according to the NHL media site, a sign that he could be available. If the 20-year-old is in the lineup, Gabriel Dumont, will likely be the odd man out.

Point (upper body) will be considered "legitimately day-to-day" after the All-Star break, according to coach Jon Cooper, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it won't come before the All-Star break, Points return after a 12-game absence appears to be imminent and he'll get his first chance to crack the lineup on Jan. 31 against the Bruins. His three goals and 12 assists on the season aren't exactly dazzling, but the rookie has shown flashes of greatness and could put up better numbers if his ice time increases.

Point (upper body) was on the ice for warmups Saturday -- ahead of a matinee against the Flyers -- Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Point is expected to miss the next 4-to-6 weeks with his injury, but there's probably no harm in letting the talented rookie skate in warmups. He's been omitted from the game-day lineup.

Point (upper body) is wearing a cast on his right hand/wrist area, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
EDGE Analysis
He's out four-to-six weeks. Point was quietly putting up a decent rookie season and even seeing power-play time. He could be a sneaky play upon his return.

Point will be out for the next 4-to-6 weeks with an upper-body injury, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
He's already been placed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site. Point sustained the injury in Wednesday's game against the Canadiens. This is a crushing blow for a Lightning squad that is already thin down the middle with stud Steven Stamkos (knee) on crutches, and a couple more key wingers going down with different maladies of late. Making matters worse, Point has been averaging 2:46 on the man advantage as a rookie -- seven of his 15 points took place on the power play. The recent call-ups of Yanni Gourde and Erik Condra will shore things up a bit, and it's likely to be Matthew Peca assuming Point's spot on the second man-advantage unit.

Point left Wednesday's game against the Canadiens with an undisclosed injury, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Point managed an assist -- albeit with a minus-2 rating -- over 19:33 of ice time before leaving the game. Vladislav Namestnikov also sustained an undisclosed ailment in that game, prompting the Lightning to call up forwards Yanni Gourde and Erik Condra from the AHL's Crunch ahead of Thursday's home game against the Maple Leafs.

Point picked up a power-play goal and added an assist while leading all forwards in ice time (19:32) during Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
His minutes have taken a major leap forward in the last two games -- after averaging 15:01 for the first 31 games this season, Point skated a season-high 23:33 against Edmonton on Saturday. That's coincided with a pair of Ondrej Palat (undisclosed) absences, and with the Czech not getting it done, Point may enjoy a semi-permanent increase in ice time even when his injured teammate returns.

Point was moved to his natural position at center for the third period of Friday's game and he "didn't disappoint" coach Jon Cooper.
EDGE Analysis
"Right now you're looking to see what different guys can do in situations," Cooper said. "Point is a natural center. We put him in there, and once again, he didn't disappoint." Point really clicked with Jonathan Drouin and the duo played as though the puck was attached by a string. Point could see more time at pivot if he can light a fire under Drouin's game.

Point picked up two assists -- one on the power play -- in Wednesday's win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
He skated just 13:35, the third-lowest mark among Tampa forwards. Indeed, Point's minutes have been way down over the last five games after he averaged 16:04 of ice time through the season's first 16 contests. His offensive production has remained inconsistent either way, so Point doesn't do much good outside very deep fantasy formats.

Point scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Point is uber-skilled, but has been relegated to the lower lines and limited ice. Steven Stamkos' long-term absence this season will force the team to do some juggling up front and Point may be a beneficiary.
