Point scored a goal in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Point was credited with a goal that gave the Lightning a 6-4 lead, but the puck was placed into the net by a Sabres defenseman. Still, this goal extended Point's streak to four games with at least one goal or assist. Over that four-game stretch, the 29-year-old center has two goals and three assists, but he's also racked up 10 points (five goals, five assists) in seven outings since the Olympic break.

EDGE Analysis
Point buried the rebound after Darren Raddysh hammered a point shot off the end boards and back into the slot. It was his 15th snipe of the season. Point has points in four of the five games since the break and seven points, including four goals, and 10 shots in that span.

Point had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Point has two multi-point games (three goals, two assists) in the Bolts two games since the break. There's no rust on his game after missing 11 games prior to the Olympics with a lower-body injury. The Bolts could afford to give Point some rest to protect his health, what with a six-point lead over Detroit and Montreal at the top of the Atlantic. Even if that happens, he's still a great fantasy option. Point has 35 points, including 14 goals, and 89 shots in 39 games.

Point scored two goals, recorded an assist and fired five shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Point made an immediate impact upon his return to Tampa Bay's lineup following his 11-game absence before the Olympic break. Not only did he score twice and add an assist, but he tallied 11 total shots, despite missing the net six times. His hot start to post-Olympic break play bodes well for the 29-year-old's chance to turn around his rough campaign, where he's posted 13 goals, 33 points and 87 shots on net across 38 games this season. When healthy, Point remains a steady fantasy option and is in a great spot to succeed while centering the Lightning's top line.

Point (lower body) is expected to draw into the lineup against Toronto on Wednesday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Point was placed on injured reserve Jan. 16 after getting hurt in Philadelphia on Jan. 12. The right-shot center was then transferred to LTIR in early February and wasn't able to represent Team Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics due to his injury. Now that he's back in the fold, it may take some time for Point to get back up to speed, but prior to getting hurt, he was playing at an extremely high level, amassing eight goals, 19 points and a plus-16 rating across a 15-game stretch.

Point (lower body) has been ruled out of the upcoming Olympics for Team Canada, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Point is on long-term injured reserve and hasn't played for the Lightning since Jan. 12 due to his lower-body injury. His status for the Olympics was up in the air, but he'll ultimately be held out and replaced by Seth Jarvis. His next opportunity to suit up for Tampa Bay will be Feb. 25 against Toronto, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to do so.

EDGE Analysis
Point last played Jan. 12 versus the Flyers. He is required to be out for 10 games and 24 days. He will complete the first requirement Tuesday versus the Sabres, but he's already been ruled out for the Lightning up to the Olympic break. Point (lower body) will not be back ahead of the Olympic break, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Point was previously deemed week-to-week by the club, so this development shouldn't come as a surprise. The 29-year-old center hasn't been ruled out for the Winter Olympics yet, and may still be an option for Team Canada in its Feb. 12 clash with Czechia.

Point (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Point was already deemed week-to-week by the club, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him end up on injured reserve. In his last eight games before getting hurt, the Calgary native racked up five goals and six helpers, including a trio of power-play points. With an extended absence, Point could miss the 80-point threshold for the first time since 2021-22.
