Point (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Point was already deemed week-to-week by the club, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him end up on injured reserve. In his last eight games before getting hurt, the Calgary native racked up five goals and six helpers, including a trio of power-play points. With an extended absence, Point could miss the 80-point threshold for the first time since 2021-22.

Point (lower body) is week-to-week, per Lightning play-by-by announcer Dave Randorf on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Point sustained the injury in Monday's 5-1 win over Philadelphia. While it isn't a season-ending issue, he will likely be out for a while, and it remains unclear if it will impact his availability for the 2026 Winter Olympics in February. Point has amassed 11 goals, 30 points and 82 shots on net through 37 appearances this season.

Point (lower body) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Immediately after Point scored a goal on the power play during the middle frame, Cam York fell onto Point's right leg, per Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com. Point wasn't able to leave the ice under his own power and ultimately did not return to the game. The Lightning will play in the second half of a back-to-back Tuesday in Pittsburgh, so given the quick turnaround, Point should not be expected to be available for that matchup. It's a possibility the right-shot center will return to Tampa Bay in the near future to be fully evaluated. The Lightning's current road trip concludes Sunday in Dallas.

Point delivered a three-assist performance Saturday in a 7-2 win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Point's five-game scoring streak was snapped Tuesday against the Avs, but he's right back on the horse. His overall 29 points in 36 games don't leap off the page, especially for a guy with his pedigree. However, Point has really added some nitrous oxide to his game over the last month. He has 18 points, including 11 helpers, and 29 shots in his last 14 games. Point is the sizzle and the steak right now.

Point had a goal and an assist in a 7-3 victory over San Jose on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Sharks started flat-footed, and Point made them pay early on a 3-on-2. His assist came later on the power play. Point is on a five-game, seven-point scoring streak (11 shots), and he has a power-play point in each of his last two games. He's also on a three-game goal streak (four). Point has scuffled this season, and he has just 10 snipes in 34 games after averaging 46 goals over his last three regular seasons. His luck is improving, and that means you'll benefit from a strong second half as you drive to your own playoffs.

Point scored twice Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
The goals extended Point's scoring streak to four games and five points, including three snipes. He has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in his last 11 games, which is much more Point-like than his 11 points in his first 22 games. And his five shots Thursday were a great sign -- he had six over his previous four games. Point's 12.2 shooting percentage is like an anchor right now, compared to his 18.5 career average and his 22.2 mark from last season. His "luck" appears to be improving, and your window on getting him in a buy-low deal is closing fast.

Point scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Point has two goals and two assists over his last five games. It's not quite the heater he was on earlier in December, but he's getting back to being steady on offense after a poor November ended with an undisclosed injury that cost him seven contests. For the season, Point is at seven goals, 15 assists, 69 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 32 appearances, putting him at risk of finishing under a point-per-game pace for the first time since 2021-22.

Point scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 win over Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
He put the Bolts up 3-2 early in the second period when he redirected a pass into an open net behind Pyotr Kochetkov. Point has eight points (three goals, five assists) over his past six games. His 9.5 shooting percentage remains abysmal relative to his 18.4 career average, so expect a goal run soon enough. Point has really started to warm up -- he had 11 points in his first 22 games prior to this run. The window to get him in trade is closing.

Point collected two assists in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old center appears to be back in form after a rough start to the season, and then a seven-game absence due to an undisclosed injury. Point was blanked in his return Dec. 8 against the Leafs, but since then, he's gotten onto the scoresheet in four straight games, racking up two goals and five helpers during his longest point streak so far in 2025-26.

Point scored a goal and added an assist Thursday in an 8-4 win over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Point's goal early in the third period gave the Lightning a 7-3 lead. The star center has had a difficult season, but he has put up back-to-back two-point games this week (two goals, two assists). Point started the season with a three-point effort against the Sens on opening night, and he hadn't put up more than a single point until Tuesday night. This could be a good sign, and you might still be able to leverage his future out of a frustrated manager. Point is far better than the 15 points he has put up in 24 games.
