Benoit Pouliot is being granted some extra playing time due to his improved play. Boston coach Claude Julien gave Pouliot some time on the team's second power-play unit on Saturday over Brad Marchand. "He's been playing well," said Julien. "(Linemates Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley) kill a lot of penalties and sometimes he gets shortchanged (in ice time) and I wanted to use him in other situations." Even with the slight boost, Pouliot finished the contest with 10:47 of ice time. He has five points and 18 penalty minutes in 23 games, but his production could increase if he gets a steady dose of ice with the man advantage.

Benoit Pouliot was close to be a healthy scratch on Wednesday night, but he ended up playing and providing the winning goal in the shootout to guide Boston to their 10th straight victory. He was the only scorer on 10 total opportunities when he beat Buffalo netminder Jhonas Enroth. Unfortunately, it doesn't help his overall statistics. Pouliot has two goals and 14 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Bruins and shouldn't be on your fantasy radar at this time.

Benoit Pouliot may be a healthy scratch on Wednesday night. He posted six minutes in penalties in Monday's win over Montreal and was benched during the contest of his rambunctiousness. The decision to sit or play him may not be revealed until game time, but don't surprised if Jordan Caron gets the nod to play over Pouliot.

Benoit Pouliot is out of the Boston lineup for Saturday. Jordan Caron will be in the lineup to replace Pouliot. The reason for being out is just a simple sickness. He should be back next game. He has no points in eight games this season.

Benoit Pouliot didn't practice with the Bruins' on Friday because of an illness. Bruins coach Claude Julien isn't sure if Pouliot will participate in Saturday's game against the Canadiens. Pouliot has no points and a minus-three rating in eight contests this season.

Benoit Pouliot has a minus-three rating and no points in eight games. Pouliot was limited to just 8:59 minutes of ice time on Thursday. The former fourth overall pick had the chance to make a fresh start for himself when he signed a one-year deal with Boston over the summer. However, playing for a new team hasn't brought success and unless his playing time dramatically increases, he's unlikely to have any fantasy value.

Despite securing a spot on Boston's third line Benoit Pouliot has been held without a point in his first seven games. The Bruins have returned Jordan Caron to the minors, which means they are going to keep Pouliot in the lineup for now. He has 12 shots and four penalty minutes, but he has seen limited ice time while trying to adjust to the Bruins' new system.
