Benoit Pouliot is being granted some extra playing time due to his improved play. Boston coach Claude Julien gave Pouliot some time on the team's second power-play unit on Saturday over Brad Marchand. "He's been playing well," said Julien. "(Linemates Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley) kill a lot of penalties and sometimes he gets shortchanged (in ice time) and I wanted to use him in other situations." Even with the slight boost, Pouliot finished the contest with 10:47 of ice time. He has five points and 18 penalty minutes in 23 games, but his production could increase if he gets a steady dose of ice with the man advantage.
