Markov recorded an assist in his third straight game in Thursday's shootout loss to the Capitals. Markov is poised to finish his age-36 season with his best numbers since the 2008-09 campaign. With nine goals, 46 points, and a plus-19 rating over 78 games, he's been among the most valuable fantasy assets from the blue line, a pleasant surprise for a player whose performance was probably expected to decline at this stage of his career. He's made GM Marc Bergevin look wise for gifting him a three-year extension last June.

Markov scored a goal in Thursday night's 5-2 loss to Winnipeg. Coming off a 12-point February, Markov has slowed to a crawl in March with just one goal and three assists in 13 games. The 36-year-old defenseman logs heavy minutes, nearly 25 per game, so a drop off is understandable. With the Habs cruising, having already clinched a playoff berth, they might want to consider easing off on Markov as they enter April.

Markov collected an assist in Monday's loss to the Lightning. Markov remains on track for his best season in six years, but has hit a bit of a rough spell in March. He's picked up no goals and three assists in eight contests, six of which have gone down as Habs losses. Still, there's good reason to believe he might be turning the corner, as two of his helpers have come in the last three games, with the blueliner racking up 10 shots on goal during that time.

Markov potted a goal, assisted on another and went plus-5 in Thursday's win over Columbus. That's five points in the last three games for Markov, as life's been good riding shotgun with P.K. Subban. Not that Markov's a bad hand himself on the offensive end, as he's easily going to clear 40 points and could quite reasonably get to 50.

Markov recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating Tuesday in a win over the Blues. The productivity continues for the veteran blueliner, who's been quite a consistent scoresheet presence in recent weeks. Over his last 10 contests, Markov's been credited with two goals and seven assists, not to mention eight PIM and a plus-4 rating.

Markov assisted on David Desharnais' game-winning goal in Tuesday night's 2-1 win over the Flyers. The assist gives Markov points in three straight games.After a slow start to the season, Markov has picked up the scoring pace. Since Dec. 1, he has 21 points in 28 games.

Markov scored an empty-net goal in Sunday night's 3-1 win over Boston. Markov has scored goals in each of the last two games after going 15 games without a score. He now has seven in 52 games this season, which equals is goal-scoring total in 81 games last season

Markov chipped in an assist and a power-play goal in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Devils. Many likely pegged Markov to regress in 2014-15 after he supplied 43 points as a 35-year-old last season, but he's on track to reach, if not better that mark. Though he entered Saturday's contest trying to shake off a four-game scoring drought, the goal and assist increased his season total to 29 points, placing him just outside of the league's top 20 blueliners.

Markov assisted on the Habs' game-winning power-play goal in Tuesday's triumph over the Stars. Markov has been exceptional lately, registering at least one assist in five of his last six games and eight total during that span. The 36-year-old has a decent shot at surpassing the 50-point plateau this season for the third time in his career.

Markov delivered three assists in Saturday's win over the Islanders. He now has six assists, including four on the power play, in his last four games. He's heating up and delivering special teams' points, too. Take full advantage.
