Pietrangelo scored a goal and dished out an assist in Sunday's win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo went through a bit of a cold spell, but he looks to be breaking out of it in time for the playoffs, as he's found the back of the net in consecutive contests. Still, the blueliner -- who missed time with an injury -- will finish the season with his lowest point total in a non-lockout campaign.

Pietrangelo netted his sixth goal of the season in Friday night's 6-5 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
The point gives Pietrangelo 31 for the season, well off the pace he's set since becoming a regular presence in the Blues' lineup. In the previous four non-lockout seasons, the 26-year-old defenseman averaged 48 points per season.

Pietrangelo scored the game-winning tally and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime thriller against Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo has been aggressive in his last five outings, firing on net 15 times, but just has one goal to show for it. However, the defenseman does have three points with an average of 26:19 on ice in that span, continuously receiving heavy minutes and sporadically producing.

Pietrangelo returned to the lineup Sunday after missing nine games and had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo was right back on the top pair and had a team-high 23:00 TOI, suggesting there are no limitations. Head coach Ken Hitchcock said as much over the weekend, indicating once Pietrangelo returns, he'll ramp up quickly and play every game.

Pietrangelo (knee) was activated off injured reserve and will play Sunday in Carolina, according to Lou Korac of NHL.com.
EDGE Analysis
After Pietrangelo participated in a couple of practices this week, it was looking like he'd be activated at some point this weekend. We assume he'll be back on the first pairing, skating alongside Jay Bouwmeester.

Pietrangelo (knee) isn't on the ice for pregame warmups, indicating he won't return to action Saturday against Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
It was reportedly Pietrangelo's call as to whether he would suit up for Friday's contest, and the 26-year-old blueliner apparently isn't feeling up to the task. The former first-round pick could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Hurricanes, but will first need to be activated off injured reserve in order for that to be a possibility.

Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock said it's Pietrangelo's call as to whether the injured defenseman will be in the lineup Saturday against the Predators, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The Blues top blue-liner has missed the past eight games with a knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo has skated twice this week and is set to return earlier than anticipated -- either Saturday in Nashville or Sunday at Carolina. Judging from Hitchcock's comments, if Pietrangelo is ready to play, there will be little restriction. "This isn't the time of year to be guiding guys through it," the coach said. "If you're not [ready to play], you're not, you've got to wait. If he says he's fit, he's ready to go, he gets to play, and we want to get him up to speed as quickly as possible. Once he goes in, he's going to stay in every game."

Pietrangelo (knee) could return to the lineup either Saturday or Sunday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo wasn't expected to be re-evaluated until the end of the month, it appears his recovery is coming along faster than expected. The blueliner skated Monday and again Wednesday, and his return would give the Blues an added boost. Pietrangelo led the team in average ice time prior to the injury, but it's possible coach Ken Hitchcock will decide to ease him back into action upon returning. Expect another update on his status prior to the weekend's games, but him even being in consideration should bring relief to fantasy owners.

Pietrangelo (knee) skated with the team Monday, but is not yet ready to return.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo is set to be re-evaluated at the end of the month. In the meantime, Kevin Shattenkirk is taking his spot on the top defensive pairing while Robert Bortuzzo takes his active spot on the roster.

Pietrangelo (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo exited Saturday's contest in the third period after injuring his right knee in a knee-on-knee collision with the Wild's Charlie Coyle. It's an unfortunate break for the 26-year-old blueliner, who's recorded 23 points (three goals, 20 assists) through 55 contests this campaign. It's also a huge blow for the Blues, as the team will now need to make adjustments to the pairings and increase the ice time among the other defensemen to account for the loss.
