Pietrangelo (illness) won't play Tuesday against the Stars, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Pietrangelo unavailable Tuesday, Brad Hunt will draw into St. Louis' lineup against the Stars. The Blues captain will hope to return to action Thursday against Tampa Bay.

Pietrangelo scored the game-winning goal along with four shots and two blocked shots over a team-high 26;12 of ice time in Thursday's win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
In a four-on-four situation, Pietrangelo deftly floated away from the play and got himself to the corner of the net where Vladimir Tarsenko fed him for a tap-in birdie. The goal was the captain's sixth of the season and first one in eight games, which is his longest stretch of the season without a goal. With 16 points in 31 games, the 27-year-old's right at his career scoring pace, but his minus-9 rating is the worst of his career as a full-time starter.

Pietrangelo collected a second-period assist and logged 21:15 of ice during Friday's win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo is heating up of late with seven points -- two goals -- through his past eight games while averaging 24:26 of ice per night (2:25 with the man advantage). The veteran defenseman's upside is a touch limited because he's consistently matched up against the opposing team's top scorers, and while he'll always be more valuable in the real game, there's still a lot to like about his fantasy profile. For the year, Pietrangelo is up to 15 points, 68 shots and 58 blocked shots through 28 games, and his minus-8 rating is the only blemish to his virtual stock.

Pietrangelo assisted on a pair of third-period goals by Jaden Schwartz -- one on the power play -- during Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
At his current pace, Pietrangelo will likely post similar numbers to his 37-point effort from last season. However, his minus-10 rating is cause for concern, considering he finished last season with a rating of plus-10. If your league counts plus-minus, be careful of starting Pietrangelo every game if you have other alternatives that rank well in that category.

Pietrangelo collected a power-play goal and registered four shots on net during Wednesday's loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
It was Pietrangelo's fourth goal and ninth point of the season, but he also finished the night with a minus-3 rating to drop him to minus-10 through 21 games. He provides excellent coverage in the shots (52) and blocked shots (42) columns, but his minus-rating has been a true anchor. At least there is lots of time to turn the crippling mark around.

Pietrangelo scored the game-tying goal with just over two minutes left in the third period, but the Blues went on to lose, 2-1, in overtime to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
The hero became the goat moments after tying the game, when Pietrangelo cleared a puck into the stands, picking up a minor penalty that carried over into overtime. He was just getting out of the box in OT when Artemi Panarin ended the night with his sixth goal of the season. He had two minor penalties Wednesday, which is unlike Pietrangelo, who has 10 minutes in penalties through 14 games, half of the total he had in 73 games last season. The five-time All Star is the Blues' top defenseman, but is sitting at minus-5, 24th on the team, ahead of only David Perron (minus-6).

Pietrangelo had a hand in both goals Thursday night, scoring one and assisting on another in the Blues' 6-2 loss to the Stars. He had five shots on net and a blocked shot in 24:57 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo's status for Thursday's game grew murky after he sustained a minor leg injury Tuesday and played a season-low 21 minutes. The St. Louis captain's ice time Thursday was more in line with his seasonal average (25:38).

Pietrangelo (leg) told reporters Thursday he's "good to go" for the evening's game against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues' captain missed practice Wednesday with a leg injury, but was never expected to miss Thursday's meeting with Dallas, so this news doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 26-year-old blueliner will slot back into his usual role skating on St. Louis' top pairing and second power-play unit against the Stars.

Despite Pietrangelo (leg) missing practice Wednesday, Blues coach Ken Hitchcock believes the defenseman should be able to play Thursday night against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo sustained the injury to his right leg while facing the Rangers on Tuesday, and while the captain toughed it out in that contest, he still ended up with a season-low 21:11 of ice time. The Blues are sure to reevaluate Pietrangelo to officially determine whether he'll be fit to play in the next contest.

Pietrangelo got his right leg tangled up with the Rangers J.T. Miller late in the first period and skated off the ice gingerly when the period was over, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pietrangelo soldiered on, but was the last to come back on the ice for the second period and ended with a season-low 21:11 of ice time in the Blues' 5-0 loss to the Rangers. We'll have to see how St. Louis' captain responds heading into Thursday night's road game in Dallas.
