Lowry (illness) was on the ice for practice Monday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Lowry missed Sunday's game against the Avalanche due to the illness, but it appears the worst of the ailment is behind him. His presence at practice Monday likely indicates he will be available Tuesday against the Wild, though he should receive an official status update at some point before the opening faceoff.

Lowry picked up a goal and an assist, went plus-2, and added two PIM and five hits in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins. A terrific fantasy line for Lowry against a quality opponent. It's worth noting that he's found his way onto the scoresheet much more frequently of late, with a goal and five assists in the last seven games. He still doesn't shoot that much, limiting his short-term upside, but it's good to see him increasing his productivity on the offensive end.

Lowry generated a power-play assist in his 15:58 of ice time Tuesday against the Panthers. The 21-year-old isn't chipping in a ton of offense this season, but he's at least shown improved production in ever successive month. He's built off a three-goal, two-assist December with three points in his seven January games thus far. Even with the improved scoring production, Lowry remains largely waiver-wire bait in most formats, though his mounting hit totals (134 in 43 games) give him some added value in specialty leagues.

Lowrie scored a pair of goals and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Stars. Lowry hasn't provided much offense this year, but he's now found the scoresheet in consecutive games, having notched an assist Sunday against Anaheim. He also delivered four hits and went 7-for-10 on faceoffs, so this was a nice game all around for Lowry despite that he only skated 12:11.

Lowry has been suspended one game for boarding the Sabres' Patrick Kaleta in Wednesday's match. As a rookie, Lowry doesn't have any track record for malicious hits, so the league office went relatively light on him for the first-time violation. Lowry collected 15 penalty minutes for his transgressions Wednesday night, doubling his PIM total from the previous 23 games combined.

Lowry gathered his first NHL assist in Tuesday's win over the Devils. The transition from the AHL to the NHL has been a tough one for Lowry, who has just two points in 20 games. He's at least been able to pile up the hits (52) while seeing time primarily on the Jets' third line, but the team probably expected more offense than they've gotten from him thus far.

Lowry picked up the first goal (and point) of his NHL career Tuesday against the 'Canes, following Andrew Ladd's early-first-period goal with his own marker 40 seconds later. A nice moment for Lowry, but his short-term offensive upside is relatively limited -- he posted just 33 points in 64 AHL games last year. At 21, Lowry still has developing to do, but it appears he'll have to do that while skating on the Jets' checking line.

Lowry will move over from left wing to center for Sunday's game against the Flames, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports. The Jets plan to elevate Mathieu Perreault to a top-six role, which will allow Lowry to pivot a third line of T.J. Galiardi and Michael Frolik. The rookie is still in search of his first point on the campaign, and could be at risk for a demotion if the position change fails to ignite his production.
