Cardinals TE Todd Heap (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Heap has missed the last three games with the injury, and his status is unclear for Week 9 against the Rams. He won't be a fantasy option regardless.

Cardinals declared TE Todd Heap, QB Richard Bartel, WR Stephen Williams, FS Kerry Rhodes, LB Joey Porter, OT D'Anthony Batiste and DE Ronald Talley inactive for Week 8. Rookie Rob Housler will continue to pick up increased snaps with Heap out. He's not a top-20 tight end option against a Ravens defense that allows the 32nd-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. The Cardinals are probably better off without Porter, who has failed to muster a pass rush this year.

Todd Heap (hamstring, questionable) will be a game-time decision against the Ravens in Week 8. Heap was limited in practice throughout the week. Rookie Rob Housler would be a much less attractive bye-week TE play if Heap returned against Baltimore.

Todd Heap (hamstring) was limited in Cardinals practice for the second straight day Thursday. Heap is trending toward being active against the Ravens after sitting out the past two games. Averaging just 3.25 catches and 37.5 yards, however, he'll be barely even a TE2 if he takes the field against his former team.

Todd Heap (hamstring) was limited in Cardinals practice Wednesday. An upgrade from last week, where Heap failed to practice before sitting out his second straight game. As long as he is not downgraded to out on Thursday, he should be on track to take the field when the Cardinals travel to Baltimore to take on his former team this Sunday.

Cardinals declared TE Todd Heap, DE Ronald Talley, OT D'Anthony Batiste, S Kerry Rhodes, TE Jim Dray, QB Richard Bartel, and RB Chester Taylor inactive for Week 7. Rookie Rob Housler is expected to see more playing time with Heap out. The starting safeties should be Rashad Johnson and Adrian Wilson. Alfonso Smith and La'Rod Stephens-Howling will back up a healthy Chris "Beanie" Wells.

Todd Heap (questionable, hamstring) missed a third straight day of practice Friday. Third-round rookie Rob Housler is expected to see increased action against the Steelers. Heap's status will come down to a game-time decision, but players who miss practice all week typically don't play on Sundays.

Cardinals TE Todd Heap (hamstring) was again held out of practice Thursday. Heap is now looking like a good bet to miss his second straight game this weekend. Cardinals' backup TE Rob Housler was targeted eight times in Heap's Week 5 absence, and could be a sneaky bye week fill-in at tight end in deeper leagues.

Cardinals TE Todd Heap (hamstring) missed Wednesday's practice. Heap, always a slow healer, also missed Monday's post-bye week practice. He may end up as a game-time decision in Week 7, and is off the fantasy radar.

Todd Heap (hamstring) was absent from Cardinals practice Monday. The Cardinals may have just been getting Heap an extra day of rest coming off their bye. What he does on Wednesday will be the first real clue as to his Week 7 status. Averaging just 3.25 catches and 37.5 yards per game this season, Heap is little more than a bye week fill-in.
