Todd Heap (knee) was held out of Cardinals practice Wednesday. Like Heap's hamstring injury in 2011, his knee ailment is becoming a lingering issue. He's off the TE2 radar.

Cardinals TE Todd Heap (knee), SS Adrian Wilson (ankle) and QB John Skelton (ankle) are all inactive for Week 3 versus the Eagles. Rob Housler will pick up extra snaps this week with Heap sitting out. The loss of Wilson gives Michael Vick and the Eagles offense a matchup upgrade. Kevin Kolb's wife has yet to go into labor, so he's drawing a second straight start. Also inactive for Arizona: RB William Powell, WR LaRon Byrd, OG Senio Kelemete and OT Pat McQuistan.

He was limited on both Thursday and Friday, and is tentatively expected to play against Philadelphia. Heap has rarely been an effective pass catcher at less than 100 percent in recent years however, and isn't a Week 3 fantasy option.

"Having time to get into it, digest it now, it's going to be huge for a lot of us who weren't here until the beginning of last year." Dogged by a hamstring injury, the now 32-year-old Heap caught just 24 passes for 283 yards in 10 games. Signed for $2.15 million, Heap's roster spot is likely assured, but he'd do well to have a strong camp.
