A seventh-round draft pick. A drawer of tight-fitting Jockey undershirts. Something."

Former Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey admitted the team explored the possibility of a trade for Tim Tebow last offseason, but said Tebow would have been "a distraction." In an interview with Pro Football Talk, Mularkey said the intention was to start Blaine Gabbert all along, despite the fact that he completed just 50.8 percent of his passes as a rookie. "If Blaine would have failed early, it would have been the call to bring Tebow in, and that's not something you want for your football team," said Mularkey. Tebow has little, is any, chance to be traded by the draft, and will almost certainly be released.

The New York Daily News reports the Bucs and Jets "have not discussed" Tim Tebow as part of the Darrelle Revis trade talks.

The Times named Seneca Wallace, Tyler Thigpen, Brady Quinn, and Matt Leinart as candidates to back up Wilson. Wallace and Thigpen are the likeliest fits.

ESPN New York says the entire Jets "debacle" has tarnished Tim Tebow's reputation. The NFL's bottom-tier quarterback hot stove has been piping hot, with 14 signal callers changing teams this offseason. However, Tebow hasn't even garnered a legitimate rumor as the Jets dangle him. "It's like he's radioactive and no one wants to get near him, which is what happens when you put a limited, over-hyped quarterback in the biggest media market," notes beat writer Rich Cimini. The Jets will eventually release Tebow and his $2.58M salary.

A source tells ESPN New York that the Jets still plan to release Tim Tebow if they can't trade him. Coach Rex Ryan and owner Woody Johnson have been insisting that Tebow remains part of the Jets' plans for this season. They're just trying to maintain some leverage. They're fully expected to set Tebow free once they realize no one will trade for him.
