Succop did not log any field-goal attempts and converted six of seven extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 48-25 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Through two games, the extreme efficiency of the Buccaneers' offense -- and in the case of Sunday, the defense's ability to also put the ball in the end zone off pick-sixes -- has worked against Succop's fantasy utility, with the veteran attempting just one field goal thus far, a Week 1 game-winning kick. Going into the season, there was a reasonable chance Succop's chances of putting three points on the board would dry up a notable amount in 2021, considering that Tom Brady working with a full season and postseason of experience in an aggressive downfield passing scheme was bound to lead to plenty of touchdowns. Nevertheless, there will still be weeks where Succop is called on for multiple field-goal attempts, and one such instance could certainly come as soon as a Week 3 road showdown versus a stingy Rams defense.

Succop drilled a game-winning 36-yard field goal and connected on all four extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 31-29 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Succop picked up right where he left off in the team's 2020 championship season and made his one true pressure kick of the contest without any issues. The veteran could enjoy a strong fantasy campaign while tied to what should be one of the league's most successful offenses, though the improved efficiency the unit might display in its second year under head coach Bruce Arians' system may lead to fewer field-goal opportunities overall.

Succop was removed from the COVID-19 list Thursday morning, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Succop rejoins the Bucs with more than enough time to prepare for next Thursday's season opener against Dallas. He doesn't have the strongest leg, but Tom Brady and Co. should keep Succop busy enough to maintain fantasy value this season. He converted 28 of 31 field-goal attempts (91.2 percent) and 52 of 57 PATs (91.2 percent) for the Super Bowl champs last regular season, and he then missed just one kick (a PAT) in four playoff games.

The Buccaneers are expected to activate Succop (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Succop tested positive for the virus back on Aug. 24, which forced him to miss Tampa Bay's exhibition finale. After spending 10 days away from the team, though, he appears as if he'll rejoin his teammates in the requisite amount of time associated with his particular situation. The Bucs still have undrafted rookie kicker Jose Borregales on the active roster, so if Succop is activated Thursday, a corresponding move to cut loose the former likely is in the cards.

The Buccaneers are in line to activate Succop (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Succop missed Tampa Bay's preseason finale due to his placement on the COVID list, but it appears he will clear the league's health and safety protocols Thursday. With Succop's return imminent, rookie Jose Borregales could end up hitting waivers.

Succop will miss Saturday's preseason finale against the Texans after testing positive for COVID-19, Luke Easterling of the USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Succop will thus be sidelined until he clears the NFL's COVID protocols. In his absence, Jose Borregales is in line to serve as the Buccaneers' placekicker.

Succop re-signed Wednesday with the Buccaneers on a three-year, $12 million contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Succop's deal includes $6.25 million in total guarantees. Bringing the veteran kicker back is Tampa Bay's latest attempt to maintain roster continuity coming off the organization's second Super Bowl title. He converted 28 of 31 field-goal tries and 52 of 57 extra-point attempts in 2020. As the kicker of an offense led by Tom Brady, Succop should be a serviceable option heading into the upcoming season.

Succop made his only field-goal attempt -- from 52 yards -- and drilled all four extra-point tries during the Buccaneers' 31-9 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran kicker put a fitting bow on a stellar season with his unblemished effort in Sunday's win. Succop just missed establishing a new career-best field-goal conversion rate with a 90.3 percent tally (28-for-31) during the regular season, with his three misses coming on attempts from beyond 40 yards. The 34-year-old surprisingly did miss five extra-point attempts, but it's difficult to quibble with a kicker who went 9-for-9 on field goals and contributed a 12-for-13 mark on extra points during a four-game postseason run. Succop played 2020 on a one-year deal that netted him just over $1 million. Given his body of work under that pact, he'll be a candidate for a multi-year contract this offseason with a Buccaneers squad that's likely to want him back after the 12-year veteran provided some long-awaited stability to the kicking position.

Succop was successful on his lone field-goal attempt of 46 yards and also converted all four extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 31-26 win over the Packers in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
EDGE Analysis
High-stakes games and conditions such as the one Succop's one field-goal attempt transpired under Sunday were exactly why the Buccaneers opted to move on from 2019 fifth-round pick Matt Gay after just one season in favor of a more experienced leg. The veteran coolly drilled a 46-yard try with 4:42 remaining after the Packers had closed to within five points, a critical kick that gave Tampa Bay valuable breathing room. Succop will carry a postseason streak of eight straight field goals into a Super LV matchup against the Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 7 that could afford the 34-year-old plenty of scoring opportunities.

Succop converted field-goal attempts of 28, 37 and 36 yards while also drilling all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 30-20 divisional-round win over the Saints on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Succop turned it up a notch Sunday after an already impressive 5-for-6 effort in the wild-card win over Washington eight days prior, cooly converting all six of his kicks for his second unblemished kicking performance in the last three contests. Succop has yet to be truly tested from distance in the first two playoff games -- his longest attempt thus far this postseason is from 38 yards -- and he's due to see the intensity and difficulty ramp up in Sunday's NFC Championship Game at frigid Lambeau Field.
