Wayne fully participated in Wednesday's practice after being rested Tuesday. Wayne will likely get regular days off from practice as he comes back from an ACL tear that he suffered last October. All signs this preseason indicated he's back to full speed, but it's still a little uncertain how he'll hold up and how big a workload he'll get until he plays in a regular season game.

Wayne (rest) did not practice Wednesday, the Colts' official site reports. It wouldn't surprise us if the Colts afford Wayne the occasional rest day in the coming weeks, but with no setbacks reported as he bounces back from an ACL tear that he suffered last October, the veteran wideout is on track to suit up, and start for the Colts in Week 1.

Wayne (knee) had no catches on one target in Saturday's preseason game against the Saints. The stats are unimportant, as the goal was merely for Wayne to make his 2014 preseason debut. He appears to have made it through the game without aggravating his knee injury, and thus remains on track to play in Week 1. While his recovery from a torn ACL has gone well, the 35-year-old Wayne will return to an offense that offers far more competition for Andrew Luck's attention than the one he played in last season. Hakeem Nicks was signed in the offseason, and TE Dwayne Allen is back from a major hip injury. .

Wayne (knee) is considered a game-time decision to play in Saturday's third preseason game, Colts.com reports. Wayne has sat out Indianapolis' first pair of preseason games to rest his surgically repaired knee. However, with Tuesday marking the veteran's first practice in full pads, he could feature Saturday to gain game experience before the regular season. Expect Wayne's status to be updated as kickoff approaches Saturday.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano would be "shocked" if Reggie Wayne (ACL) wasn't ready for training camp.

Although Reggie Wayne (ACL) is not participating in OTAs, he has been cleared for football activities. The Colts are taking it slow with Wayne, who is roughly seven months removed from his knee reconstruction. He's expected to take the field with his teammates when training camp opens on July 23. It's an aggressive timetable for a 35-year-old receiver that relies so heavily on sudden cuts and precision route-running, but people within the Colts are calling Wayne a "freak." We'd like to get a look at his progress in a preseason game before painting a rosy picture.

Reggie Wayne (knee) is not participating in OTAs. Wayne is seven months removed from ACL surgery and will likely be held out of next month's minicamp. He remains a candidate to open training camp on the active/PUP list, but is expected to be ready for Week 1.

ESPN Colts blogger Mike Wells expects Reggie Wayne (ACL) to sit out next month's minicamp. Speaking last month, Wayne proclaimed himself "way ahead of schedule," but there's no incentive for him to go full steam before training camp. Wayne is expected to be ready for Week 1.
