Carroll left Sunday's game against the Broncos with a concussion, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll was forced to leave Sunday's game alongside fellow defensive back Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring), so the Cowboys were left with just two healthy cornerbacks in Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis. With Orlando Scandrick (hand) still out, Dallas could potentially be dealing with serious depth issues in the secondary in the coming weeks.

EDGE Analysis
Carroll, who signed with the Cowboys this offseason, could be subject to league discipline due to this transgression.

Carroll signed a three-year, $10 million contract with the Cowboys on Friday, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He fills a big hole for Dallas with both Brandon Carr and Mo Claiborne free agents, and Carroll should be a Week 1 starter this season. The 30-year-old had 55 tackles, 11 passes defended and an INT in 16 games for the Eagles last year.

Carroll (concussion) passed concussion protocol and was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll will now return to the field after missing last week's win over the Falcons. The cornerback's return is a big boost to the Eagles' secondary, as he'll play a major in slowing down Seattle's wideouts on Sunday. If he sees his reps limited because of the injury, look for C.J. Smith to have an expanded role.

Carroll remains in the NFL's concussion protocol.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll already missed a Week 10 matchup with the Falcons due to a concussion and it appears he's yet to clear the lingering symptoms. He still needs to pass through the final few stages of the league-mandated protocol, which should currently give him a questionable designation heading into Sunday's game against the Seahawks. If he's ultimately held out, C.J. Smith and Jalen Mills could see additional reps again on Sunday.

Carroll has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Falcons due to a concussion, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll's absence provides C.J. Smith and Jalen Mills with the opportunity to see additional reps at cornerback. Carroll will need to pass through the league's concussion protocol in order to play next week against the Seahawks.

Carroll recorded three tackles during the Eagles 29-10 win over the Browns on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll played 98 percent of defensive snaps for the Eagles on Sunday. While his numbers don't necessarily stand out, his presence on the field was much bigger than his stats showed. More importantly for Philadelphia, Carroll's ankle held up just fine amid concern that he might not yet be 100 percent.

Carroll (ankle) did not practice on Friday, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll's off-day lets him rest his injured ankle that landed him on the IR last season. The 29-year-old is slated to be the Week 1 starter, although his ankle limitations could complicate things.

Carroll (ankle) claims his ankle was never broken, and although he never revealed the true specifics of the ankle injury he suffered last November, he is now fully healed and ready to resume practicing, NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After roughing up his lower leg last November against the Eagles, Carroll was placed on injured reserve with what was believed to be a broken ankle. A clean break could have required a significantly longer rehab process, but with Carroll evidencing his health with a video of himself sprinting up stairs, the veteran corner should be available as soon as training camp.

Carroll (leg) has agreed to re-sign with the Eagles on a one-year contract, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll started the first 11 games of last season before suffering a broken fibula in a Thanksgiving loss to the Lions. He may have to compete for a starting job in 2016, as the Eagles traded away Byron Maxwell but did sign Leodis McKelvin. 2015 second-round selection Eric Rowe also figures to compete for a starting spot on the outside.
