Trubisky completed 17 of 33 passes for 147 yards and two interceptions during Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Eagles. He rushed for 12 yards on four carries during the contest.
EDGE Analysis
It was certainly a step back for Trubisky, who had as many picks against the Eagles on Sunday as he had through his first six career starts. The Bears' typically conservative approach didn't stand a chance with the Eagles up by multiple scores early. With no multi-touchdown games this season and just one performance of over 180 passing yards, the rookie shouldn't be on your radar.

Trubisky completed 18 of 30 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-24 loss to Detroit. He added 53 yards on six carries and lost a fumble during the game.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky padded the Bears' early lead in the first quarter with a one-yard touchdown in the back corner of the end zone to fellow rookie Adam Shaheen. The fun, for the most part, stopped there as a Trubisky fumble led to the Lions' first touchdown in the second quarter. Trubisky has been excellent at playing Foxball, head coach John Fox's conservative brand of football, with just one pick in his last five games. Still, with just three touchdowns in that span, he shouldn't be on your radar.

Trubisky completed 21 of 35 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 23-16 loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky briefly gave Chicago the lead early in the fourth quarter with a 46-yard touchdown strike to Joshua Bellamy, snapping a two game scoreless streak for the rookie passer. Sunday's outing almost doubled Trubisky's previous season high in yardage of 164. In fairness to Trubisky, he's playing in what was to be a red-shirt season with a receiving corps decimated by the offseason departure of Alshon Jeffery and injuries to the likes of Kevin White and Zach Miller. Hope for the rest of the season might be found in Trubisky's work with trade-acquisition Dontrelle Inman, who snagged six passes for 88 yards in his first game as a Bear.

Trubisky completed 14 of 32 passes for 164 yards and an interception during Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Saints. He added 53 yards on three carries.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky set up Chicago's lone touchdown of the game late in the fourth quarter when he stepped up in the pocket and found a lot of real estate in front of him, taking off for a 46-yard gain. He wasn't quite as exciting throwing the ball save for a 45-yard completion to Tre McBride, who he later overshot for a game-sealing interception. Trubisky failed to complete half of his passes for the second time in four starts and, however lowly his 164 passing yards were, they still represent a season high. Don't expect much change. John Fox is the same coach who rode defense and the running game to a division title with Tim Tebow in Denver. Trubiskiy is obviously a more polished passer than Tebow, but Fox has to see that his team is 2-0 when his quarterback throws less than 20 times and 1-5 when his team throws it 20 times or more. Expect Trubisky to remain reined in after the bye against a Green Bay team that gave fellow quarterback Mike Glennon fits in Week 4.

Trubisky completed four of seven passes for 107 yards and added three yards on five carries in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Most of Trubisky's yardage came on a 70-yard completion to Tarik Cohen. Trubisky's being asked to do little more than just not lose the game for his team, but even that has proven to be a tall order for the rookie at times. He took a costly third-down sack on the last play of the first quarter, turning a would-be 43-yard field goal into a 52-yarder that kicker Connor Barth missed. Luckily that error was overshadowed by a dominant defense that scored two long touchdowns while holding Carolina to only one field goal. Chicago's content with relying almost exclusively on that defense and the running game, which is why Trubisky is averaging just 116 passing yards per game.

Trubisky completed eight of 16 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown while adding four scrambles for 32 yards and losing one of two fumbles in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win at Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky produced just 29 passing yards in the first half, but almost matched that total on a third-quarter touchdown pass to Dion Sims from 27 yards out. While he was able to lead Chicago to victory over a Ravens team with an equally inept passing game, Trubisky doesn't seem close to being a reliable fantasy option at this point given his lack of weapons and volume in Chicago's run-first offense.

Trubisky completed 12 of 25 passes for 128 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Monday night's 20-17 loss to the Vikings. He also rushed three times for 22 yards and a lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky's debut included a brilliantly designed two-point conversion run as well. With little help from a bare cupboard of targets, though, Trubisky was unable to stretch the field, completing just one pass for 20 yards. While that happened to be his first-career touchdown, Trubisky's toss only found tight end Zach Miller after being tipped by a defender. The North Carolina product also committed a pair of turnovers, including an interception deep in his own territory that set up Minnesota's game-winning field goal. Although Monday's outcome didn't go his way, Trubisky will hope to apply what he learned and show improvement at the Ravens this Sunday.

The Bears will start Trubisky in Week 5 against the Vikings, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Mike Glennon coming off a dreadful Thursday night performance that dropped the Bears to 1-3, this decision doesn't exactly register as a surprise. Trubisky gets extra time to prepare for his first start, which will come on Monday Night Football against a tough Minnesota defense. The No. 1 overall draft pick will be playing with a lackluster group of downfield targets, but his mobility will add another element to a dangerous rushing attack led by Jordan Howard. With Trubisky, Howard and Tarik Cohen playing behind a strong offensive line, the Bears may be able to hide their deficiencies in the receiving corps. Trubisky should probably be viewed as a bottom-10 quarterback for fantasy purposes until/unless he proves otherwise.

Trubisky will start the season as Chicago's No. 2 quarterback, the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trubisky leapfrogged Mark Sanchez for the top backup job after completing 36 of 53 passes for 364 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions during the preseason. Instead of watching Sunday's opener against the Falcons strictly from a student's perspective, he'll have to be ready to take the field if Mike Glennon gets injured or benched. Sanchez likely will be inactive.

Trubisky is slated to draw the start at quarterback in Thursday's preseason finale against the Browns, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Trubisky will be replaced by Connor Shaw, while Mark Sanchez and presumed Week 1 starter Mike Glennon are slated to be observers. Trubisky will thus gain from some added game reps before settling into a reserve role that is obviously not permanent based on how aggressive the Bears were in moving up to draft him. There's of course a degree of injury risk here, but the Bears evidently feel that it is outweighed by affording their future franchise signal-caller an opportunity to prepare for an NFL contest as a starter.
