Matt Hasselbeck (thumb, leg) was limited in Titans practice Wednesday.
Coach Mike Munchak described the injuries as "soreness," which is to be expected for a 36-year-old quarterback after eight games in the NFL. Hasselbeck is in no danger of sitting out Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.

Matt Hasselbeck was seen icing the thumb on his right (throwing) hand following Week 9's loss to the Bengals.
This was a pre-existing ailment and it's not yet clear to what extent he is hurt, but it doesn't appear serious. Owners should continue utilizing him how they normally would unless he appears in a subsequent injury report.

Matt Hasselbeck completed 24-of-41 passes for 272 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Titans' 24-17 Week 9 loss to the Bengals.
The Titans moved the ball well early, but the passing game stopped clicking in the second half. With Nate Washington playing through an injured hip for a good portion of the game, it's possible that a shifted game plan put too much weight on the rest of his inexperienced receiving corps. On pace for just under 4,000 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 picks, he's a low-end QB2 with injury concerns and a guy named Jake Locker standing by.

Matt Hasselbeck completed 23-of-33 passes for 224 yards and one touchdown in the Titans' Week 8 win over the Colts.
Hasselbeck did well to keep the chains moving in the first half, but the Titans settled into protect-the-lead mode in the final two quarters. It was another mediocre effort from a mediocre fantasy QB. Hasselbeck faces off with the Bengals' top-five pass defense in Week 9. He'll only be a two-QB league option.

Matt Hasselbeck (thumb) is listed as probable for Week 8.
Hasselbeck practiced all week without issue and is ready to go against a Colts pass defense falling apart recently. He's a quality two-QB league option.

Matt Hasselbeck (thumb) practiced with "no problems" on Thursday.
He will be active this Sunday. Going up against Indianapolis' 23rd ranked pass defense, he's Rotoworld's 14th ranked quarterback for Week 8.

The Titans are just playing things safe with Hasselbeck, who is fully expected to be under center against the Colts this Sunday. If he doesn't return to full practice on Thursday, he should do so on Friday.

Matt Hasselbeck was replaced by Jake Locker in the middle of the fourth quarter with the Titans down 41-7 to the Texans.
Hasselbeck had his right thumb in a cup of ice, but he would have stayed in the game if it was competitive. This is simply a chance to get Locker some game experience in a blowout. Concerns about Hasselbeck's production sans Kenny Britt certainly looked justified Sunday. He completed just 14-of-30 passes for 104 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Hasselbeck is merely a QB2 option against the Colts in Week 8.

Matt Hasselbeck completed just 10-of-20 passes for 220 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception against the Browns in Week 4.
All three of Hasselbeck's scores came in the first half, and the Titans took the air out of the ball with a 21-6 lead going into the second half. Hasselbeck's 20 pass attempts will likely be a season low. Through four games, the 36-year-old is playing as well as he has since the 2007 season. Hasselbeck is on pace for 4,608 yards, 32 TDs, and 12 interceptions heading into Week 5 at Pittsburgh. He's an obvious "sell high" candidate if you can get another owner to bite.

Matt Hasselbeck completed 27-of-36 passes for 311 yards and two touchdowns as the Titans downed the Broncos 17-14 in Week 3.
Hasselbeck was extremely sharp for the second straight game, taking what the defense gave him with poised, accurate passing underneath and connecting with Nate Washington for big gains. Hasselbeck completed passes to a whopping 11 receivers Sunday. Though his physical skills have declined at age 36, Hasselbeck is still good enough to move the chains consistently. Owners need to be concerned about Kenny Britt's injury, however. An extended loss could change the dynamics of Tennessee's offense. They play the Browns next.
