Wheaton is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Wheaton did not draw an injury designation for Sunday's game, with his deactivation presumably indicative of his slipping depth chart status rather than a setback with his shoulder.

Wheaton (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It appears as though Wheaton should be available Sunday against the Ravens, though at this stage his fantasy value needs some re-establishing, with ESPN's Jeremy Fowler having relayed that Darrius Heyward-Bey has, for now, supplanted Wheaton as a starting wideout on the Steelers' depth chart opposite Antonio Brown.

Wheaton (shoulder) is no longer listed as a starter on the Steelers' depth chart, ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wheaton has been replaced by Darrius Heyward-Bey, who has just five receptions on 13 targets in seven games this season. Wheaton is still the more intriguing fantasy option of the two, but it's increasingly clear that Sammie Coates (hand) is the only Pittsburgh wideout besides Antonio Brown offering any real upside, though slot man Eli Rogers could also soak up some targets. In addition to his demotion on the depth chart, Wheaton may still be bothered by the shoulder injury that held him out of Pittsburgh's last two games before a Week 8 bye.

Wheaton (shoulder) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Wheaton didn't practice after missing last Sunday's game due to a shoulder injury, which will cost him his fourth contest of the year this weekend versus New England. His continued absence figures to benefit Eli Rogers and Sammie Coates, although the latter wideout's fractured thumb could impact his involvement to some degree.

Wheaton (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
We'll revisit Wheaton's status Friday, but we suspect that he will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. In such a scenario, Sammie Coates, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Eli Rogers would be in line to jostle for Week 7 targets behind top wideout Antonio Brown, in a game that will be quarterbacked by Landry Jones.

Wheaton (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wheaton thus falls into the iffy category for Sunday's game against the Patriots, a contest in which the Steelers will be without their top QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Wheaton (shoulder) is uncertain for Sunday's game against New England, Dave Lolley of the Washington Observer-Reporter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wheaton missed Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, while Eli Rogers (toe) returned from a two-game absence and Sammie Coates (hand) also managed to play. Given his spot on the depth chart, in combination with Ben Roethlisberger's (knee) expected absence, Wheaton is unlikely to have much of an impact in Sunday's game against the Patriots even if he ends up playing.

Wheaton (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
With Wheaton out Sunday and Sammie Coates iffy for the game, the Steelers' wideout corps did at least catch one break this week by virtue of the fact that slot man Eli Rogers is slated to return to the team's Week 6 lineup.

Wheaton (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Sammie Coates missed another practice as well, leaving Antonio Brown, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Eli Rogers as the Steelers' top three healthy wideouts in advance of the final practice of the week Friday.

Wheaton (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The same applies to fellow wideout Sammie Coates (finger), though at this stage it's unclear whether Wheaton's absence Wednesday is maintenance-related, or indicative of a setback with the shoulder issue that affected him earlier this season.
