FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports Malcom Floyd's (neck) "rough estimate" on a timetable for return is a month. Floyd is "taking it slow, for obvious reasons," per Garafolo. Floyd has a severe neck injury, and at age 32 isn't going to push it. His absence removes any semblance of a downfield threat from the Chargers' passing attack. Floyd can safely be dropped in fantasy leagues. Rookie Keenan Allen is his replacement, working in three-wide packages with Eddie Royal and Vincent Brown.

Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (neck) will be wearing a cervical collar for at least a week. Floyd isn't going to play against the Titans Sunday, leaving Vincent Brown and Keenan Allen as the Chargers outside receivers. Eddie Royal will play the slot. Floyd's scans have been sent to a back and spine specialist and there's no target date for his return. A CT scan was negative.

Floyd will undergo further testing later this week, but McCoy insists it's "just to make sure we're doing things the right way." Rookie Keenan Allen is taking Floyd's place in three-receiver sets. Vincent Brown and Eddie Royal are the starters, with Royal manning the slot.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Malcom Floyd will be in a neck brace for "at least" one week. Chargers coaches claimed Floyd was "fine" following Sunday's win, but it turns out that's not the case. Floyd needs a second opinion and is considered "out indefinitely", per Rapoport. Floyd looks droppable in fantasy leagues despite his 102-yard Week 2 game. Keenan Allen, Vincent Brown, and Eddie Royal will encompass San Diego's three-receiver package in the meantime.

Coach Mike McCoy said Malcom Floyd (neck) will be "fine." Floyd sustained a scary injury during Sunday's Week 2 game against the Eagles when he got sandwiched over the middle by Nate Allen and DeMeco Ryans. He was stretchered off the field and taken to a local hospital. Thankfully, tests showed no serious damage and Floyd was cleared to fly back to San Diego with his teammates. He was on his way to a big game with five catches for 102 yards against the Eagles' Swiss cheese secondary.

Malcom Floyd left Sunday's Week 2 game against the Eagles with an undisclosed injury. Floyd ran a deep slant and got sandwiched between Eagles S Nate Allen and a high shoulder from LB DeMeco Ryans. He dropped the ball and looked to be in extreme pain while staying down for several minutes. Players from both teams kneeled around Floyd in prayer. His neck was immobilized and he was stretchered into the locker room. Floyd's day is done with five catches for 102 yards. The Chargers are down to Eddie Royal, Vincent Brown and Keenan Allen at wideout.

Malcom Floyd caught one pass for 47 yards in the Chargers' Week 1 loss to the Texans on Monday night. Floyd reeled in just one of his five targets. It came on the opening play of the second half. Philip Rivers shot-put the ball deep down the left sideline, and Floyd skied over Johnathan Joseph to haul it in. Floyd was bother by a knee injury during the summer, but he looked fine in the opener. He's no more than a WR4/5.
