Redskins SS LaRon Landry (Achilles) expects to come off the active/PUP list Wednesday.
Landry has been trying to strengthen the strained Achilles' tendon that forced him to miss seven games last season. He expects to return to a full practice Saturday and play in the Aug. 25 preseason game against the Ravens. If healthy, Landry is one of the premier IDP defensive backs as he heads into a contract year.

Redskins SS LaRon Landry (Achilles') is not expected to be available for the preseason opener.
"I'm not going on the field unless I'm 110 percent and can do all of the things I know I can do," said Landry. Beat writers have speculated that Landry's injury may be a long-term concern. Landry underwent shockwave therapy and platelet rich plasma therapy to aid the healing process, but the Redskins are still easing him in. Although Landry is downplaying the cautious approach, beat writer Rich Campbell calls it "a significant red flag" and an "inauspicious start" after seven months of rest.
