ESPN's John Clayton reports that the Broncos are holding out for a second- or third-round pick in a Kyle Orton trade. Clayton suggested the Dolphins have yet to meet that demand, instead offering a "four or a five." The Fins have blown so many second-round draft picks on quarterbacks in recent years (Pat White, John Beck, Chad Henne) that we're a bit surprised they wouldn't want to shore up the QB spot with a top-15 NFL passer like Orton. They're also working on a Reggie Bush deal, of course.

According to the Denver Post, a Kyle Orton trade was no longer "imminent" as of late Wednesday night. Orton attended morning and evening meetings at Broncos headquarters, and the team expects him back for the first training camp workout Thursday. The Miami Herald is reporting that Orton's camp is still in talks with multiple teams, including the Broncos, and that a trade would involve "many moving parts." Orton will restructure his contract as part of a deal, and he could be waiting for the Cardinals situation to finalize.

NFL Network's Michelle Beisner reports trade talks between the Broncos and Dolphins are getting "serious," and a deal could be reached within six hours. Just minutes before, the Miami Herald reported that Orton remained interested in restructuring to stay in Denver, which hardly seems credible. Orton isn't going to accept the long-term No. 2 job behind Tim Tebow when he could land a starting gig elsewhere. Expect to see Orton to the Dolphins in exchange for something in the neighborhood of a third-round pick.

Kyle Orton is on top of the Dolphins' wish list of quarterbacks, a source tells the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The problem is Orton's contract demands. He's reportedly looking for more than $6 million per season on a long-term deal and the Dolphins may not be willing to make that significant of a commitment. Regardless, the Denver Post, NFL Network and Sun-Sentinel are all calling the Dolphins the favorites to land Orton.

The Dolphins could be the "leader in the clubhouse" for Kyle Orton, according to the Denver Post. Now that Matt Hasselbeck has agreed to terms with the Titans and Donovan McNabb appears headed to Minnesota, the Broncos' backs are against the wall. They will likely try to play the Cardinals and Dolphins against each other, but need to tread carefully as the Eagles are likely in desperation mode to trade Kevin Kolb right now. Expect the final quarterback dominoes to fall at some point today.

According to Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole, the Dolphins and Titans are the "strongest possibilities" for a Kyle Orton trade. Matt Hasselbeck is also reported to be in play for both teams. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald confirms the Dolphins are "absolutely interested" in Orton, but are unwilling to go higher than a third-round pick. Salguero doesn't give Hasselbeck a legit chance of landing in Miami. Our best guess at the QB landscape has Orton to Miami, Hasselbeck to Tennessee, Kevin Kolb to Arizona, and Donovan McNabb to Minnesota.

NFL Network confirms the Dolphins, Cardinals, and Vikings are "in on" trade talks for Kyle Orton. All teams have been connected to Orton throughout the month, and it looks like they will be checking on the asking price. Miami and Arizona are the most likely destinations. Albert Breer of NFL Network throws the Titans into the mix, but only if the price is right and Matt Hasselbeck signs elsewhere.

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora now concedes that a Kyle Orton trade has a strong chance of going down once free agency begins. LaCanfora was the lone holdout on a potential Orton trade the past few months, possibly hearing from Broncos sources trying to drive up the price tag. "For a long time I didn't think he'd be dealt," said LaCanfora. "But ... I hear more and more teams with an eye on him." The Cardinals, Vikings, Dolphins, and Redskins have been mentioned as the most likely dance partners.
