Palmer (groin) is listed as active for Monday night's game against the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer wasn't initially listed on the Chargers' Week 6 injury report but was added to it Sunday as questionable with a groin injury. With his active status for Monday night's contest confirmed, Palmer figures to maintain a key role in the Los Angeles WR corps -- which no longer includes Mike Williams (knee), who is on IR -- alongside top option Keenan Allen and 2023 first-rounder Quentin Johnston. In his last outing, Palmer logged 56 of a possible 65 snaps on offense, while catching three of his eight targets for a season-high 77 yards in his team's Week 4 win over the Raiders.

Palmer (groin) is officially listed as questionable but is expected to suit up for Monday's game against the Cowboys, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer practiced in full all week before being marked as questionable Saturday with a groin injury, indicating he may have tweaked it during the Chargers' final session of the week. Nonetheless, he's expected to play versus Dallas. Palmer caught three of eight targets for 77 yards versus the Raiders in Week 4 while playing a season-high 85 percent of snaps, and he could once again be primed for a big role as the Chargers continue to try and fill the hole left by the absence of Mike Williams (knee). Los Angeles will officially reveal Palmer's status roughly 90 minutes prior to Monday's 8:15 p.m. EDT kickoff.

The Chargers added Palmer to their injury report for Monday's game against the Cowboys, listing him as questionable with a groin injury.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer had been a full practice participant all week, but he may have picked up the injury at some point during the team's final session Saturday. In any case, his late addition to the injury report suddenly muddles his status for Monday and leaves fantasy managers who were planning on including him in Week 6 lineups in a tough position. While logging a season-high 85 percent snap share in the Chargers' last game Week 4 against the Raiders, Palmer recorded three catches for 77 yards on eight targets. With Mike Williams (knee) out for the season, Palmer should be primed for a big role the rest of the way if he can move past his own groin injury.

Palmer caught three of his eight targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer snared a 51-yard dart by quarterback Justin Herbert on the final throw of the game, salvaging what would have been a disappointing outing for fantasy managers, especially in the absence of Mike Williams (knee). With the Chargers on a bye next week, it's entirely possible the coaching staff could work to better implement 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston into the offensive scheme, but it's hard to imagine that will directly come at the expense of Palmer, who has 20 targets over the last three contests.

Palmer is expected to see more targets moving forward after Mike Williams was diagnosed Monday with a season-ending ACL tear, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Both Palmer and 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston are expected to take on increased volume in the Chargers' passing game in Williams' absence, though Keenan Allen should continue to work as the top target for quarterback Justin Herbert. Through three games, Palmer has 13 targets -- exactly one third of Allen's total and half of Williams' -- while Johnston has been targeted only eight times.

Palmer recorded four receptions on seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer saw four targets in the first half, but his involvement was overshadowed by a lost fumble that set up a field goal for the Vikings. That changed with eight minutes left in the game when he caught a ball tipped off the hands of Vikings corner Akayleb Evans for a game-winning 30-yard touchdown catch. Earlier in the game, Mike Williams suffered a knee injury that could keep him sidelined for further game action, which would in turn shift Palmer up the depth chart along with rookie pass catcher Quentin Johnston.

Palmer caught three of his five targets for 13 yards in the 27-24 overtime loss to the Titans on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer once again saw a heavy snap share, tallying 37 offensive snaps compared to Derius Davis' 11 and 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston's 10. Despite a lackluster ground attack, Justin Herbert and the passing unit primarily fed Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, essentially relegating Palmer to an afterthought. It's possible the third-year receiver could be involved more in what figures to be an offensive onslaught Week 3 against the Vikings.

Palmer caught his only target for four yards in the 36-34 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
If you look at only the box score, it would appear as if 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston has already supplanted Palmer in the pecking order as the rookie had three targets. But on closer inspection, Palmer far outpaced Johnston in playing time, registering 55 offensive snaps compared to Johnston's 22. Palmer has been a trusted target for quarterback Justin Herbert when the team has been without Keenan Allen or Mike Williams, and it's clear at least based off Week 1 playing time that Palmer could serve that same function this season.

As the coming season approaches, Daniel Popperof the Athletic predicts that Palmer will log a majority of the Chargers' No. 3 wide receiver snaps out of the gate.
EDGE Analysis
During the 2022 campaign, Palmer recorded 72 catches (on 107 targets) for 769 yards and three TDs in 16 games, with part of his statistical productivity attributable to top WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams each missing a chunk of time due to injuries. Given the team's top duo is back and healthy and 2023 first-rounder Quentin Johnston has been added to the mix, it appeared likely Palmer was trending toward a decreased role. However, for the moment, it at least it appears as though he has yet to be overtaken by the promising rookie. That's something that could well happen once Johnston gains more pro experience, but early on, Palmer could see enough volume in the Chargers offense to merit deep league consideration.

Palmer (undisclosed) was present for Monday's practice, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer left practice early Thursday but is back on the field Monday, suggesting that his unspecified issue was a minor one. He's coming off a 2022 season in which he caught 72 passes (on 107 targets) for 769 yards and three TDs in 16 games, but with fellow returning WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams healthy as the coming season approaches and 2023 first-rounder Quentin Johnston also in the mix, Palmer could be hard-pressed to garner the sort of volume he drew last year.
