Palmer caught three of his eight targets for 44 yards in the 22-16 loss Sunday to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer got another opportunity as the Chargers' No. 1 wideout with Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) sidelined, but he wasn't able to make the most of the opportunity, seeing a three-week low of eight targets thanks in large part to a fearsome pass rush from the opposition. It's unclear when Allen and Williams will eventually make their returns, but expect Palmer to be a fantasy option for however long they're out.

Palmer is expected to serve as the Chargers' No. 1 receiver in Sunday's game at San Francisco with both Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) listed as out for the contest.
EDGE Analysis
Following their Week 8 bye, the Chargers were without both Allen and Williams for the first time all season in last Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons. In their absences, Palmer stepped up to deliver his best performance of the season, reeling in eight of 10 targets for 106 yards. DeAndre Carter and Michael Bandy should continue to get expanded roles in three-receiver sets while Allen and Williams are out, but Palmer looks like the most reliable fantasy option among the Chargers' healthy receivers this week. The matchup with a formidable San Francisco defense isn't ideal on paper for Palmer, though the 49ers have done a better job at stifling the run game than the passing game this season.

Palmer caught eight of 10 targets for 106 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Operating as the No. 1 wide receiver with Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) sidelined, Palmer led the Chargers in targets and catches while finishing with exactly double the receiving yardage total of DeAndre Carter, whose 53 yards ranked second on the team. Palmer's most important catch was his last one, as his 22-yard reception in the final minute set up Cameron Dicker's game-winning 37-yard field goal. Los Angeles is unlikely to get both Allen and Williams back in Week 10 against the 49ers and could remain without both, so Palmer should continue to play a prominent role against a far tougher San Francisco secondary.

Palmer (concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer was placed in the concussion protocol after Week 6 and sat out the Chargers' last game Week 7. However, with the benefit of a Week 8 bye, he was able to pass through all five phases of the protocol, practice in full Wednesday through Friday and gain clearance to play this weekend. Palmer's presence will be key in a wideout corps down both Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (knee), while DeAndre Carter (illness) is questionable. No matter if Carter is able to join Palmer as active Sunday, the latter should be on the receiving end of plenty of targets from quarterback Justin Herbert.

Palmer (concussion) practiced fully Wednesday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com, Palmer has reportedly cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, but Miller relays that at this stage coach Brandon Staley has yet to confirm that the wideout will be available Sunday against the Falcons. Assuming no setbacks though, it appears as though Palmer is on track to return to action this weekend following a one-game absence, and if so he could be poised for a big role in Week 9, with Mike Williams sidelined by an ankle injury and Keenan Allen's status unclear due to a lingering hamstring issue.

Palmer cleared the NFL's concussion protocol Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer was unable to play against the Seahawks in Week 7, but following the Chargers' Week 8 bye, he's trending toward a return to action Sunday against the Falcons. With Mike Williams sidelined by an ankle injury and Keenan Allen dealing with a lingering hamstring issue, it's plausible that Palmer and DeAndre Carter could lead the team's wideout corps this weekend.

Palmer (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
With Palmer -- who didn't practice this week -- ruled out, look for DeAndre Carter to see added Week 7 opportunities in the Chargers' passing game, more so if Keenan Allen (hamstring, questionable) ends up limited or out Sunday. Palmer now will target a potential return to action Sunday, Nov. 6 in Atlanta following his team's upcoming bye week.

Palmer (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer has one more chance to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, but if he ends up sidelined this weekend, DeAndre Carter would be a candidate to see added Week 7 opportunities in the Chargers' passing game versus Seattle.

Palmer (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
With that, Palmer's status is worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Seahawks. The wideout is coming off a nine-catch, 57-yard effort (on 12 targets) in Monday's 19-16 win over the Broncos. Palmer's added volume in the contest was due to the absence of Keenan Allen (hamstring), who logged a limited practice Wednesday.

Palmer recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 57 yards in Monday's 19-16 win over the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Palmer finished second on the team in targets and receptions, also posting his best marks of the season in those areas. He worked primarily in the short areas of the field -- his longest reception went for 14 yards -- though Justin Herbert was unable to push the ball down the field effectively. Palmer took a step forward in his role Monday. but that will likely change once Keenan Allen (hamstring) is able to return.
