The Seahawks added Gordon (suspension) to the 53-man roster Monday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon was reinstated to the NFL on Dec. 3, and he's met the terms of his conditional reinstatement. The 29-year-old wide receiver will join the team at practice and meetings this week. According to Condotta, coach Pete Carroll said Monday that "we are planning the week like he has a chance to contribute." Gordon's conditioning will be evaluated during practice, and if all goes well, he should be in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rams. It's unlikely that Gordon ever puts together the numbers that earned All-Pro honors back in 2013, but he could establish himself as yet another speedy option in Russell Wilson's arsenal.

Gordon (suspension) has met the terms of his conditional reinstatement from the league and will rejoin the Seahawks for team activities Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The NFL reinstated Gordon on Dec. 3, but he's only been able to take part in individual workouts and team meetings since that time. The wideout will be integrated into practices next week, and if the Seahawks are satisfied with his conditioning, the 29-year-old could make his 2020 debut Dec. 27 versus the Rams. While the hope of Gordon rediscovering the All-Pro form he showed with the Browns in 2013 is probably a pipe dream at this point, the wideout could give the Seahawks another deep-ball threat that defenses will have to monitor, which may free up receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett for more one-on-one matchups.

Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Gordon (suspension) has looked good in his recent workouts and remains on track to make his season debut when he's eligible to return from the Commissioner Exempt List in Week 16 versus the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "Josh's workouts are going great," Carroll said. "He's really fit, he feels really good. He feels like he's ready to jump on a practice field. He'll have all of this week, and then he'll be available to us next week."
EDGE Analysis
Gordon can't technically practice with the Seahawks until next week, but he's been able to take part in individual workouts and team meetings since the NFL reinstated him from his year-long suspension Dec. 3. The lack of on-field reps over the past year means Gordon likely won't be pressed into a major role over the Seahawks' final two regular-season games, as Carroll noted that the wideout still needs to regain full conditioning following the lengthy layoff. That said, Gordon's presence will at least give the Seahawks another downfield threat to complement Russell Wilson's favorite targets, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

While the NFL reinstated Gordon (suspension) on Thursday, he won't be eligible to play until the final two games of the season, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon's most recent suspension will have spanned one year once he's able to return to action. Most of his 27-426-1 line from last season occurred as a member of the Patriots, but he did average 19.9 YPC on his seven receptions with the Seahawks. Once he's able to suit up -- likely Sunday, Dec. 27 against the Rams -- Gordon will serve as a deep threat alongside DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

The NFL reinstated Gordon (suspension) on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Before yet another suspension, Gordon fared well in stints with the Patriots and Seahawks last season, posting 27 catches for 426 yards and one touchdown on 47 targets. Among the receptions, he ripped off eight for more than 20 yards, so he'll add a deep threat to a receiving corps that also includes DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

The Seahawks remain hopeful that Gordon (suspension) will be reinstated by the NFL in the coming weeks, though the team has yet to receive an official timeline on a decision from the league, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The NFL banned Gordon indefinitely last December for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse, marking the sixth suspension of his career. Though Gordon applied for reinstatement July 17 and reached an agreement in early September to re-sign with Seattle, he's stuck in a holding pattern while he waits for the league to approve his request to resume his career. Garafolo speculates that the NFL may be viewing Gordon's indefinite suspension as a year-long one, in which case the wideout might not be cleared to play until Week 10. His previous violation is believed to have occurred after Week 9 of the 2019 campaign, as the Patriots mysteriously chose to waive him around that time before news of his suspension became public knowledge just under two months later.

Gordon (suspension) has yet to hear word from the NFL on the application for reinstatement he submitted June 18, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The league's collective bargaining agreement calls for decision on reinstatement appeals to be made within 60 days, so Gordon is well overdue to receive word from the NFL on the matter. Gordon already reached agreement with Seattle on a new deal back in September, but he won't be eligible to sign a contract with the team until he's formally reinstated. The NFL previously suspended Gordon for the sixth time in his career back in December following his fifth violation of the league's policies on performance-enhancing drugs and substances of abuse.

Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he "can't comment" on when Josh Gordon (suspension) will be reinstated, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon, who is currently still serving an indefinite suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, re-signed with Seattle early August. When available, he's expected to compete with Phillip Dorsett (foot) and David Moore for work behind top receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, but time is running short for Gordon to receive the all-clear ahead of Sept. 13's season opener in Atlanta.

Gordon (suspension) re-signed with the Seahawks on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon is hoping to be reinstated from suspension before the start of the season, or at least early on in the year. He never really seized the No. 3 receiver role in Seattle last season, catching seven of 11 targets for 139 yards in five games before a violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy led to another indefinite suspension. With Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf locked in as full-time players, the 29-year-old Gordon will need to compete against Phillip Dorsett and David Moore for the team's No. 3 job.

Gordon (suspension) expects to have an update on his reinstatement to the NFL within the next month, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon is an unrestricted free agent but may not draw any interest from teams until he learns more about his eligibility status for 2020. He submitted a letter of reinstatement June 17, and he reportedly has been working out and staying sober in the meantime.
