The Patriots plan to release Gordon (knee) off injured reserve Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The wideout will be subject to waivers and is "hoping to land in a good, supportive situation," per Schefter. Assuming Gordon is claimed by another team, it's uncertain how long it will take before he's ready to contribute. But when healthy, Gordon is talented enough to resurface on the fantasy radar as the season rolls along if he lands in the right situation.

Gordon (knee), who is currently on injured reserve, expects to be healthy in one to two weeks, Josina Anderson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Patriots placed Gordon on injured reserve Wednesday with a minor designation, signifying the team must release the wide receiver upon his return. Assuming the 28-year-old is cleared at some point following Tuesday's trade deadline, a release would open up Gordon to waivers, allowing any team to put a claim in for the talented receiver. Considering the injury appears to be minor, it's entirely possible Gordon, who has totaled 20 catches and 287 receiving yard to go along with one touchdown in six games, could still make an impact with another franchise once he's eligible to return from injured reserve.

Gordon (knee) is expected to be waived off IR by the Patriots once he's fully healthy, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Rapoport, Gordon is dealing with two bone bruises in his knee, but once the wideout recovers from that, it looks like the Patriots plan to move on. With that in mind, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com suggests that Gordon's knee woes are minor and he could be medically cleared soon. Assuming he's let go by the Patriots after the NFL trade deadline, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network notes that Gordon would be subject to waivers. In any case, it looks like Gordon could be back on the field before too long, but the Patriots will now proceed with a wide receiver corps headed by Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu and Phillip Dorsett, which also figures to be bolstered by the looming return of first-round draft pick N'Keal Harry.

The Patriots have placed Gordon (knee) on IR, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though he didn't participate, Gordon was present at practice Wednesday, per Zack Cox of NESN.com, so this news is especially surprising in that context. With Gordon now on IR, the Patriots' move to trade for Mohamed Sanu makes plenty of sense. The team's wideout corps going forward will be headed by Julian Edelman, Sanu and Phillip Dorsett, with Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski also in the mix. Additionally, N'Keal Harry is a candidate to return from IR as soon as Week 9.

Gordon (knee/ankle) was spotted at Wednesday's walk-through practice, Andrew Callahan of The Springfield Republican reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon sat out Monday's win over the Jets, but his presence on the field Wednesday suggests that he has a shot to return to action this weekend against the Browns. The wideout looks like he's being viewed as day-to-day, but more information regarding his health will come later Wednesday when the Patriots unveil their first Week 8 practice report. Also practicing Wednesday was newcomer Mohamed Sanu, a player who could end up cutting into Gordon's workload once he's up to speed with the Patriots' playbook.

Gordon (knee) is ruled out for Monday's divisional contest against the Jets, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon hasn't practiced all week, so his lack of availability doesn't come as much of a surprise. He's hoping to only require a one-game absence as he works through a knee injury. In Gordon's absence, Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) stands to see an increased role in New England's aerial attack if he's able to suit up. Jakobi Meyers should benefit from an uptick in snaps as well.

The expectation is that Gordon (knee) will not play in Monday's matchup with the Jets, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon is continuing his trend in the wrong direction by missing Saturaday's practice. Should he ultimately get ruled out, Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) would be a candidate to see a bigger workload, assuming he can rejoin the team following a one-game absence. Jakobi Meyers would be next in line to see an increased role.

Gordon (knee/ankle) wasn't present for the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon is not trending in the right direction in advance of Monday night's game against the Jets, but he still has a chance to make a practice appearance Saturday. If he's out or limited in Week 7, Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) would be a candidate to see an expanded workload, assuming he's able to rejoin the Patriots' lineup after a one-game absence. Additionally, Jakobi Meyers would figure to see added work Monday in such a scenario, more so if Dorsett experiences any setbacks.

Gordon, who didn't practice Thursday, is listed with both a knee injury as well as an ankle issue, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With an ankle issue on top of his previously reported knee concern, Gordon's status will need to be monitored leading up to Monday night's game against the Jets. If he doesn't rally in time to suit up for that contest, added opportunities could be available for Phillip Dorsett (hamstring), assuming he's able to rejoin the Patriots' lineup in Week 7.

Gordon (knee) was not spotted at Thursday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon was forced out of the Patriots' win over the Giants last Thursday with a knee issue, and his absence from practice signals that his status will need to be monitored in advance of Monday's night's contest against the Jets. While Gordon was sidelined this Thursday, Phillip Dorsett (hamstring), on the plus side, was able to work after being unavailable in Week 6.
