Gordon has impressed in workouts since joining the Chiefs' practice squad Monday and could be promoted to the 53-man roster ahead of the team's Week 5 game against the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old wideout signed with Kansas City immediately after the NFL fully reinstated him after he was previously suspended indefinitely last December. In addition to receiving praise from head coach Andy Reid for being in game shape, Gordon has flashed big-play ability in practices and has picked up the offense quickly. If added to the roster, Gordon likely wouldn't fill a full-time starting role for Kansas City, but his size and downfield speed could help divert opposing defenses' attention from stud pass catchers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

Gordon plans to sign with the Chiefs, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon didn't take long to find a landing spot after being reinstated from indefinite suspension last Friday. The 30-year-old wide receiver could bring a spark to a Kansas City team that has gotten off to a surprisingly slow 1-2 start. It's fair to question how much Gordon has left in the tank, though. He last played in the NFL in 2019 and has just six touchdowns in 33 games since the 2014 season after finding the end zone 14 times in 30 appearances between the 2012 and 2013 campaigns. Per Nate Taylor of The Athletic, Gordon is expected to join Kansas City's practice squad at first and then would be elevated to the main roster once he masters the playbook and gets in football shape.

The NFL reinstated Gordon from an indefinite suspension Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon spent almost two years working his way back from violations of the league's policies on substance abuse and performance enhancing substances. He last suited up for the Seahawks in Week 15 of the 2019 campaign, and per terms of his reinstatement he'll be able to play as soon as Week 4 of this season. For his career, Gordon has been a big play waiting to happen, when available, averaging 17.2 yards per catch.

Gordon (suspension) is awaiting final approval on reinstatement from commissioner Roger Goodell after the NFL Players' Association determined Tuesday that the receiver completed his league-monitored treatment program, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since the NFL suspended him indefinitely in January on the heels of a setback in his recovery from substance abuse a month earlier, Gordon has apparently satisfied all the conditions of his program and is preparing to resume his career. Now 30 years old, Gordon hasn't appeared in the NFL since 2019, when he recorded 27 receptions for 426 yards and one touchdown in 11 games between stops in New England and Seattle. Given his lack of consistent action since his breakout 2013 campaign with Cleveland, Gordon no longer profiles as a game-changing receiver, but he could have some utility for a team as a depth piece if reinstated by the NFL.

Gordan (suspension) has submitted his reinstatement letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, with the wideout hoping to join a team before training camp, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon was released by the Seahawks in March and reportedly has passed all the league's drug tests for at least the past three months. The 30-year-old wideout hasn't played in the NFL since 2019, but he was part of the Fan Controlled Football league earlier this year.

The Seahawks released Gordon (suspension) on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon is indefinitely suspended from the NFL and recently joined the Zappers in the Fan Controlled Football league. He made five appearances for the Seahawks -- all in late 2019 -- and caught seven passes for 139 yards.

Gordon (suspension) will participate in the Fan Controlled League in the offseason, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Fan Controlled League season ends in late March, so Gordon shouldn't have an issue playing for a NFL team should he be reinstated from his indefinite suspension due to violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Gordon is set to be an unrestricted free agent March 17 and has not played in the NFL since 2019.

The NFL has rescinded Gordon's conditional reinstatement, ESPN's Brady Henderson reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report notes that the decision, which results in Gordon -- who last played in December of 2019 -- being suspended indefinitely, stems from the wide receiver violating terms of his reinstatement under the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

The NFL revealed Tuesday that Gordon will remain on the commissioner's exempt list indefinitely, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon had a setback in his battle with substance abuse, thus violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement. He won't be allowed to practice or play indefinitely.

The NFL determined Tuesday that Gordon hasn't satisfied all the terms of his conditional reinstatement, and he'll revert to the commissioner's exempt list, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being activated Monday, it appears Gordon still has a few more hurdles to clear before he can return to game action. For the time being, Gordon can attend team meetings and participate in individual workouts, but he can't practice or play in games. With that in mind, his status is murky for Sunday's game against the Rams.
