Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) participated in Thursday morning's walkthrough. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said "we'll see" when asked about Maclin's availability for today's afternoon practice. If Maclin ends up a non-participant today, the Eagles are very likely to roll with Jason Avant and Steve Smith as their No. 2/3 receivers.

Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) will not practice on Wednesday. Eagles beat writers and observers consider Maclin doubtful to play against the 49ers Sunday. He did participate in the walkthrough this morning, but being up to speed with the game plan means little if Maclin's hamstring won't allow him to run at 100 percent. Owners need to get him on benches.

Adam Caplan of the Sidelineview.com believes Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the 49ers. The Eagles are being tight-lipped on Maclin, simply saying that his hamstring injury is not as bad as initially thought. We're not expecting him to practice today. Owners should be making alternative plans as the Eagles appear likely to roll with DeSean Jackson, Jason Avant and Steve Smith as their top three wideouts this week.

Jeremy Maclin's hamstring injury is not as bad as initially thought, according to coach Andy Reid. Maclin had an MRI which painted a rosy picture and he has been listed as day to day. Still, hamstring injuries for receivers are concerning. Maclin was unable to finish yesterday's loss and he'll likely miss practice time this week. Owners still should add Steve Smith as insurance.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer considers Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) "unlikely" to face the 49ers in Week 4. McLane is speculating, but the fact that Maclin couldn't return to Sunday's loss to the Eagles suggests his hamstring pull could be a multi-week injury. Riley Cooper, Maclin's backup at split end, is also considered "unlikely" for Week 4 after a concussion. It's possible that Steve Smith will start against the 49ers at flanker, with DeSean Jackson at split end and Jason Avant in the slot. Smith is the Eagles receiver to target on waiver wires this week.

The Philadelphia Inquirer refers to Jeremy Maclin's (hamstring) status for Week 4 as "up in the air." The Inquirer also notes that the last Eagles player to suffered a hamstring injury was Vince Young. The team initially characterized V.Y. as "day to day," and he proceeded to miss multiple games. Hopefully, coach Andy Reid will have an update on Maclin by Monday. Maclin's backup, Riley Cooper, suffered a concussion on Sunday and is unlikely to play in Week 4.

One week after being held to just one catch for 20 yards, Jeremy Maclin erupted in Philadelphia's Week 2 loss to the Falcons, catching a career-high 13 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns. With DeSean Jackson slowed by a forearm injury, Maclin was targeted 15 times. The 171 yards were also a career best for the third-year wideout. Maclin's night should have been even better, however, as he dropped a Mike Kafka pass on 4th-and-4 with just 1:41 remaining in the game. The Eagles would get just one more offensive play, a Hail Mary attempt with five seconds left. Despite the disappointing end, the takeaway is that Maclin is obviously back to 100 percent health following a scary offseason illness, and poised to be an elite WR2 going forward.

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg hinted that he plans on getting the ball to Jeremy Maclin more going forward. Maclin had just one catch in the opener, but was on the field more than any other receiver. That's a clear statement that the Eagles aren't concerned at all with Maclin's health despite his absence during training camp. "I felt fine," Maclin said after the game. "My legs are fresh. It wasn't any of that." He figures to be a much bigger factor in Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Jeremy Maclin told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he plans to start Sunday's game against the Rams. Maclin says he'll be a "full go" against his hometown team after receiving a "clean bill of health." In an ideal world, fantasy owners would be able to give Maclin a week to prove he's 100 percent in terms of strength and speed after battling a mysterious illness all offseason. It would still be hard to argue against Maclin as a WR3 in the potential Edwards Jones Dome shootout.
