Langford is on track to see an increased role in the Bears offense in 2016, with the team not intending to re-sign Matt Forte, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Langford, who logged 148 carries for 537 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie this past season, is thus poised to top the team's RB depth chart once free agency opens, with Forte and Jacquizz Rodgers on track to hit the open market. Along with Langford, under contract with the Bears at the running back position in advance of the 2016 campaign are Ka'Deem Carey and Senorise Perry.

Langford rushed for 14 yards on five carries in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Langford's five touches were his lowest total since Week 7. Still, the future looks bright for the rookie. Despite tallying 92 fewer touches than Forte this season, Langford scored more touchdowns than Forte, seven to six. With Forte now a free agent on the wrong side of 30, Langford may be in line for the top of the depth chart should Chicago look to make the future now.

Langford gained 83 yards on 18 carries and failed to secure either of his two targets in Sunday's 26-21 victory over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie managed a career-high rushing total, and received some extra opportunity after Matt Forte was forced from the game with a back injury in the fourth quarter. Langford has been quite the pleasant revelation in a generally disappointing season for the Bears, effectively spelling Forte through injuries and within games as a rotational back. He also brings an added dimension as a passing-game option out of the backfield, with Sunday's game marking the first time in seven contests that Langford had failed to secure at least one reception. The 24-year-old may be in line for a healthy heaping of opportunity in Week 17 if Forte is held out of Chicago's home tilt versus the Lions.

Langford rushed for 46 yards on 11 carries and added an 11-yard catch in Sunday's loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
After scoring in five of six games, Langford has now been held out of the end zone in three straight contests. The rookie has had a consistent role in Chicago's offense in the four games since Matt Forte's return, touching the ball between 12 and 14 times in each game. Forte has gotten the better draw, however, leading Langford in touches, 67 to 53, total yards, 333 to 242, and scores, three to one, during that span. With Forte's rapport with Jay Cutler, don't expect those splits to change much in the season's final two games.

Langford ran for 37 yards on 11 carries and added three catches off of seven targets for 27 yards in Sunday's loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
For the first time since Matt Forte returned to the lineup three weeks ago, Langford received the better share of touches, 14 to 11, and yards, 64 to 53. He was still held without a touchdown for the second straight game after scoring six times in his previous six games. The rookie back, with Forte back in the lineup, has trailed the veteran in touches, 53 to 41, total yards, 229 to 185, and scores, two to one, over the last three weeks. Langford may still be worth starting given his increased share on Sunday, but is no longer the stud he was a few weeks ago.

Langford carried 12 times for 59 yards and caught two of three targets for an additional 9 yards in Sunday's loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie still performed quite well on a per touch basis, but he took a back seat Sunday as Matt Forte handled the ball 26 times in his return to workhorse status. Langford owners will be a bit disappointed that third-stringer Kadeem Carey received a short touchdown carry in the second half, but the former is clearly the top backup to Forte and has received double-digit touches in six consecutive games. Langford will likely be somewhat touchdown dependent to make an impact for fantasy owners, given his supporting role, and this will remain the case in next week's home game against the Redskins.

Langford carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 17-13 win over the Packers. He also caught one pass for five yards.
EDGE Analysis
Though Langford didn't get the start for the Thanksgiving Day game, coach John Fox divvied up the workload fairly evenly between Langford and Matt Forte, who returned from a three-game absence due to a knee injury. Forte ended up finishing with a slight edge in carries (15), but Langford showed a little bit more burst between the tackles, averaging four yards per attempt compared to Forte's 2.9. Langford was also able to punch in his lone goal-line carry for a touchdown, while Forte actually lost yardage on his two attempts near the goal line during a similar scenario early in the fourth quarter. While Langford was probably the better of the two players Thursday, it's unlikely that Fox will move back to a more one-sided approach during next week's matchup with the 49ers. Just as he did during his time coaching in Carolina with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, Fox has stated an affinity for dual-back systems, much to the chagrin of fantasy players.

Langford will work in tandem with Matt Forte (knee) during Thursday's contest at Green Bay, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Forte has been named the starter in his return, the Bears view Langford as "more explosive," which is certainly true in the passing game. On the season, Langford is averaging 15.1 yards per catch, with three receptions greater than 20 yards, but he boasts just 3.2 YPC on the ground. Expect his workload to be curtailed, though, as head coach John Fox switches between the pair throughout the contest.

Langford rushed 13 times for 25 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes on six targets for 17 receiving yards during Sunday's loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Starting again in place of the injured Matt Forte (knee), Langford really struggled against one of the league's best defenses, though he was able to punch in a two-yard touchdown with 24 seconds left to bring the Bears within two (he was stopped on the two-point conversion attempt on a similar run). Forte is reportedly getting close to returning, and when he does Langford will likely be relegated to his old backup duties despite scoring three touchdowns in the last two games.

Langford is starting Sunday against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Langford draws another start in place of the injured Matt Forte (knee), who was actually questionable coming into Sunday. Forte is expected to be back soon, but Langford will get at least one more chance to produce after racking up 182 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns last Sunday. However, the Broncos boast one of the best defenses in the NFL, so it will likely tough sledding Sunday.
