Coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated Monday that Locker's (right thumb) Week 7 status remains unclear, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
While Whisenhunt reiterated that Locker remains the Titans' starter when healthy, at this stage the QB's status for Sunday's game against Washington is uncertain. In place of Locker in Week 6, Charlie Whitehurst threw for 233 yards in the team's 16-14 win over the Jaguars.

Locker (thumb/right hand) did not practice this week and will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt reports.
With that in mind, Wyatt expects Charlie Whitehurst to draw the start at QB for the Titans on Sunday against the Jaguars, though such a notion has not been confirmed by the team at this point.

Locker (right thumb) missed practice again Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
What Locker is able to do at practice Friday will be telling with regard to his Week 6 availability, though at this stage his status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars is cloudy. If Locker is unable to suit up this weekend, Charlie Whitehurst would presumably draw the start at QB for the Titans on Sunday.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated Wednesday that Locker (thumb) remains day-to-day.
Though Locker did not practice Wednesday, per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, the QB was able to do some throwing and hopes to practice some later this week. More on Locker's status Thursday, but if he is unable to start Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Charlie Whitehurst would presumably be in line for the assignment.

Locker, who suffered a bruised thumb in Sunday's loss to the Browns, is dealing with a lot of swelling at this time, NFL.com reports.
The report suggests that there appears to be no structural damage in Locker's thumb, but his status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars is nonetheless cloudy. If Locker is unable to play this weekend, Charlie Whitehurst would likely be in line to start at QB for the Titans on Sunday, though in such a scenario, we suppose that the team could also entertain the notion of seeing what they have in rookie Zach Mettenberger.

Locker is slated to undergo an MRI on his right thumb, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
X-rays on Locker's thumb came up clean, but the quarterback's status moving forward is now cloudy thanks to his latest injury, with Charlie Whitehurst a candidate to start next Sunday's game against the Jaguars, as a result.

Locker (hand/wrist) will not return to Sunday's game against the Browns, ESPN's Paul Kuharsky reports.
Locker emerged from the locker room after halftime wearing street clothes and a wrap around his right hand. It is not yet clear whether this is a new injury or an aggravation of the wrist issue that bothered him earlier this season, but the Titans will likely provide some type of update after the game. Tennessee hosts Jacksonville next week.

Locker left Sunday's game against the Browns with an apparent right hand/wrist injury, ESPN's Paul Kuharsky reports.
Locker has been taking a beating this game, taking a hard hit on a touchdown run earlier in the contest, and is now headed to the locker room for X-rays on his throwing hand. Charlie Whitehurst replaced him at quarterback for the Titans.

Locker (wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Locker was listed as probable for the 1:00pm EDT kickoff against Cleveland, so his announcement as active comes as no surprise. A wrist injury held him out of Week 4's matchup against the Colts, but he was able to return to practice early this week, giving coach Ken Whisenhunt enough confidence to award him the starting nod. Through the first three weeks of the season, the 26-year-old has averaged just over 228 passing yards per game, and owns three touchdowns compared to four interceptions.
