Doyle sandwiched a limited practice Thursday between full showings Wednesday and Friday, clearing the way for him to play this weekend. The 31-year-old has played at least half of the Colts' offensive snaps in all but one game this season, but his involvement in the passing attack has steadily been trending down since his breakout 80-catch, 690-yard campaign in 2017. Through 10 outings, Doyle has turned in a 17-167-2 receiving line on 27 targets.

Doyle was a full participant in Wednesday's session and hasn't dealt with a knee injury previously this season. There's little reason to suspect that the veteran tight end's availability for Sunday's game against the Bills is in jeopardy, though Friday's injury report should provide a more concrete assessment of Doyle's health ahead of Week 11 action.

Doyle had three receptions for 31 yards on five targets in Sunday's 23-17 win over Jacksonville.

It looked like Doyle was being limited to just blocking after a four-game stretch where he had just four targets and two receptions. However, he's had six receptions, nine targets and two touchdowns in his last three games. That's not enough production for viable fantasy value in most formats, but at least he's become a small factor in the passing game again.

Doyle had two receptions for 12 yards, including a five-yard touchdown, in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to Tennessee.

Doyle played on 50 of the offense's 80 snaps and went out for a pass on 30 plays, both increases from his recent games that saw him increasingly used as a blocker. Even with the touchdown, he's had little role in the passing game -- five receptions in his last six games -- and there's no reason to think that will change unless there are several injuries in the receiving corps.

He hasn't had more than two targets in each of the last three games and has fallen behind Mo Alie-Cox in the receiving options at tight end. At this point, he's become much more valuable as a run and pass blocker.

Doyle had one reception for 24 yards on his only target in Sunday's win at Miami.

EDGE Analysis

Doyle played on just 21 of the offense's 71 snaps as the Colts may have limited his usage after he was limited in practice with a sore back. Mo Alie-Cox's two touchdown receptions and Kylen Granson's increased usage (30 snaps) may not bode well for Doyle's fantasy value even if he gets back to full strength.
