According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, Bucs RCB Eric Wright's reported four-game suspension for PED use remains in a holding pattern. Per Glazer, who originally broke the story, Wright is "awaiting (his) appeal hearing." It looks like Wright will be free to start Sunday's game against the Chargers, where he figures to match up with Malcom Floyd early and often.

Bucs RCB Eric Wright (Achilles') is listed as probable for Week 9 against the Raiders. Coach Greg Schiano called the injury "a concern" early in the week, but Wright practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. As for Wright's reported suspension, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer says it's still "awaiting appeal," and it sounds like Wright will be available for Week 9, after all. We suspect Wright will learn the results of that appeal by no later than next Tuesday.

Bucs CB Eric Wright is dealing with an Achilles' injury. "(It's) a concern," according to coach Greg Schiano. Speaking at Monday's presser, Schiano also refused comment on reports that Wright is facing a four-game ban for violating the league's PED policy. Regardless, whether it's because of injury or suspension, Wright is sounding extremely unlikely to suit up in Week 9. That's bad news for a team that will still be missing Aqib Talib.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports Bucs CB Eric Wright is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Like currently suspended teammate Aqib Talib, Wright's positive test was reportedly triggered by attention-deficit drug Adderall. Whatever caused it, it's crushing news for a Bucs' pass defense that's already amongst the worst in the league. It's unclear if Wright is appealing, but if not, he'd presumably be out for Week 9. With Talib not due back until Week 10, that would leave Tampa without its two best corners against the Raiders. Perhaps Carson Palmer has one week of QB1 value left in his arm, after all.

Coach Greg Schiano expects CB Eric Wright (head) to be ready to return following the Bucs' Week 5 bye. The Bucs haven't revealed if Wright suffered a concussion against the Redskins, but it's a good bet. Two weeks should be enough time for Wright to get healthy for Tampa's Week 6 tilt with the Chiefs.

Bucs CB Eric Wright left Sunday's Week 4 against the Redskins in the third quarter with a head injury. Wright took a knee to the helmet from Redskins LG Kory Lichtensteiger. He stayed down for awhile and then looked woozy on the sideline before walking to the locker room under his own power. E.J. Biggers has come on.

Bucs CB Eric Wright was removed from Sunday's game with a lower back injury and is questionable to return. The exact severity of the injury hasn't been reported, but this is likely the same injury that limited him in the preseason. Wright had a highlight reel 60-yard interception for a touchdown off Eli Manning in the the first-half. He's being replaced by Brandon McDonald.

Bucs RCB Eric Wright will not be formally charged with DUI following his July 2 arrest in Los Angeles. The case has been dismissed. The Bucs are catching breaks left and Wright (pun intended), as LCB Aqib Talib also recently had his felony assault with a deadly weapon charge dismissed. Wright's arrest was for felony DUI. It was his first brush with the law as an NFL player, so he won't face any league discipline.

The Buccaneers would lose $15.5 million if they released CB Eric Wright prior to the 2013 season. All of Wright's first two salaries are guaranteed, and he received no signing bonus. Rather than spreading out salary-cap money, the Buccaneers structured the contract so they're paying less money on the backend. Wright was arrested and charged with felony DUI earlier this month, and missed the team's mandatory June minicamp. The legal troubles could result in a suspension, but he isn't in danger of being released.

Bucs RCB Eric Wright was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Monday morning in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Times, Wright was involved in an "injury accident," but he himself escaped without injury. He was arrested after refusing to submit to a breathalyzer or field sobriety test. The driver of the other vehicle isn't believed to be seriously hurt. Wright missed the Bucs' recent mandatory minicamp with an undisclosed health issue. Although he dealt with legal troubles in college, Wright had previously avoided incident as a pro since being a second-round pick in 2007. Wright's arrest means both Bucs starting cornerbacks are in danger of league discipline, as LCB Aqib Talib is still facing a possible suspension for his alleged role in a 2011 shooting.
