Weddle (groin) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weddle has now practiced in back-to-back days, but it's still unclear at this time if he will be available for Monday's game. His status will likely come down to a game-time decision, but Weddle's availability at practice Saturday should go a long way in determining his status against the Bears.

Weddle (groin) hopes to play against the Bears Monday, Michael Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weddle wasn't able to play in the Chargers' previous two games, but he was able to practice Wednesday. Gehlken cautions that Weddle's availability in practice Wednesday shouldn't indicate his availability one way or another against the Bears, however it's clear the 30-year-old safety doesn't intend to rest easy this week with the Chargers slated for a bye following Monday's game. Weddle's official status will likely arrive sometime during the weekend, but his availability in practice Saturday will likely go a long way in determining his status against Chicago.

Weddle (groin) was limited in practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Weddle has been held out of the Chargers' last two games, and won't know his availability for Monday night's contest against the Bears until Saturday. Although a limited participant in practice Wednesday, he has yet to go full speed, and his status will remain questionable throughout the week. Should Weddle miss more time, Darrell Stuckey is in line to get the start at safety in his place.

Weddle (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Weddle will not be able play against the Ravens as he's still dealing with a nagging groin injury -- the same one that kept him out of last week's game against Oakland. Darrell Stuckey will likely get the start in his place.

Weddle (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weddle missed Sunday's game against Oakland after injuring his groin during Week 6's contest against Green Bay. Gehlken suggested that Weddle will likely miss this week's contest as well, however the Chargers aren't expected to make that announcement until Friday at the earliest.

Weddle (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
This seemed like a mere formality after Weddle was unable to practice Wednesday. Darrell Stuckey will likely see additional work at free safety in place of Weddle.

Weddle (groin) was unable to practice Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gehlken seemed to suggest Weddle would likely miss this Sunday's game against the Raiders after succumbing to a groin injury late in the fourth quarter during the contest against the Packers, however his game-time status likely won't be announced until later in the week.

Weddle lead the Bolts with nine total tackles and two passes defensed on Sunday in San Diego's win over the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Even though this looks like it will be his last year in San Diego after offseason negotiations went nowhere and he held out of voluntary OTAs, Weddle did not let his unhappiness affect his play on the field. He and the Chargers secondary did a great job of limiting Calvin Johnson and the rest of the Detroit passing game in this one.

Weddle was back with the Chargers for a mandatory three-day minicamp on Tuesday, and he announced that while he will be giving 100% effort to the team this year, this will almost certainly be his last season with the Chargers, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Weddle had skipped all voluntary workouts this offseason as he attempted to open a dialogue with the team about a contract extension, but it appears that the time for negotiation has passed. "Contrary to what has recently been said by upper management, there has never been any financial numbers discussed and the Chargers have never put an offer on the table for us to consider," Weddle said after practice. "It is obvious to me I am not part of this organization's long-term plans." Weddle is said to be in tremendous shape, and nobody doubts that he will give maximum effort for the Bolts this season, but this is looking like a rather ugly end to his eight-year run in San Diego.
