EDGE Analysis
The QB was out long enough for Brett Rypien to attempt two passes in his absence, but in his first play back Lock connected with wideout Courtland Sutton for a 44-yard gain.

Lock exited Sunday's game against the Chargers after suffering a shoulder injury.
EDGE Analysis
With Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) out this week, Lock was replaced at QB by Brett Rypien. Prior to his departure from the contest, Lock was 2-for-5 for 15 yards and ran once for six yards.

With Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) ruled out, Lock is slated to start Sunday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
In that context, Lock is an option for those in two-QB formats or who are scrambling for a Week 17 signal-caller for any reason. However, with wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick on the reserve/COVID-19 list and Courtland Sutton (illness) questionable for the contest, Lock figures to be working with a depleted pass-catching corps Sunday.

Lock (ankle) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's practice estimate, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, fellow signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) was listed as a non-participant. At this stage, it seems plausible that come Friday, Bridgewater will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. In that case, Lock would be in line to draw his second straight start at QB this weekend.

Though Lock was limited in practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Ryan O'Halloran of the Denver Post indicates that all signs continue to point to the QB starting Sunday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
At this stage, fellow signal caller Teddy Bridgewater, who suffered a concussion on back on Dec. 18, remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and Lock is trending toward his second straight start for the Broncos, in spite of the ankle issue that popped up on Wednesday's injury report.

Lock will likely remain Denver's starting quarterback Sunday's game against the Chargers with Teddy Bridgewater not expected to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bridgewater required a trip to the hospital after being carted off the field in the Broncos' Dec. 19 loss to the Bengals. Though he was discharged a day later and was diagnosed with no injuries beyond the concussion, Bridgewater wasn't able to practice in any capacity last week before being ruled out ahead of last Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders. Bridgewater remains in the protocol as of Wednesday and is considered unlikely to take any dramatic steps forward in the next few days, setting up Lock for a second consecutive start. Lock completed 15 of 22 passes for 153 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions last week, as Denver took just 40 snaps on offense while Las Vegas (36:37) dominated the time of possession.

Lock completed 15 of 22 passes for 153 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders. He added 10 yards on two carries.
EDGE Analysis
The Las Vegas defense stacked the box to stop the run and dared Lock to beat them, and the third-year QB wasn't able to answer the challenge. Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) hasn't yet been ruled out for a Week 17 clash with the Chargers, but if Lock does get another start he'll need to be much better to keep the Broncos' fading playoff hopes alive.

Lock will start Sunday's game against the Raiders, after Broncos coach Vic Fangio ruled out Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) on Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While yet to make a start, Lock has appeared in three games this season, each time reminding the Broncos why he's a backup. He's completed 22 of 40 passes for 227 yards (5.7 YPA) this season, with one touchdown, three turnovers and five sacks. Lock does have a stronger arm than Bridgewater, but poor accuracy means the 25-year-old is unlikely to turn things around for Denver's talented-but-slumping WR group.

Lock is in line to serve as Denver's starting quarterback Sunday against Las Vegas, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lock is the next man up for Denver after head coach Vic Fangio said Monday taht Teddy Bridgewater is feeling better but "highly unlikely" to play Week 16 after suffering a concussion in the Broncos' loss to the Bengals over the weekend. The 2019 second-round pick had lackluster results in relief of Bridgewater on Sunday, completing six of 12 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.

Lock completed of six of his 12 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Lock entered the game early in the third quarter after Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) exited with an apparent head injury. He immediately led the Broncos to the end zone, finding Tim Patrick for a 25-yard score. Lock was also able to move the offense at a decent clip from that point on, though he turned the ball over on a fumble deep in Cincinnati territory -- costing Denver a chance to go ahead in the game -- early in the final quarter. As has been the case throughout his professional career, Lock was plagued by inconsistency, and that should be expected to continue if he takes over under center for a Week 16 matchup against Las Vegas.
