Swift (groin) was limited at Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
For the fourth week in a row to begin the season, Swift has had his practice reps capped in the first session due to the groin injury he picked up in early August. Still, there's an expectation from the Lions that he's ready to handle a larger workload, as coach Dan Campbell intimated earlier this week. Campbell acknowledged to Nick Baumgardner and Chris Burke of The Athletic on Monday that Swift "started getting the ball in his hands and started making some plays" this past Sunday against the Ravens. Ultimately, Swift got a season-high 21 touches and 107 yards from scrimmage while scoring his second touchdown of the campaign.

Swift's workload could increase now that he is fully healthy, Nick Baumgardner and Chris Burke of The Athletic report. "I think you see the hot hand, right?" head coach Dan Campbell said. "[Swift] started getting the ball in his hands and started making some plays. I would imagine [the offensive coordinator] upstairs was saying, 'Let's keep getting him the ball.' And I was conscious of it as well."
EDGE Analysis
Fully past the groin injury that hampered him during the end of the preseason, Swift averaged 6.5 yards per touch in the first half of Sunday's game against Baltimore. Detroit made a concerted effort to get him the ball more coming out of the break and the end result was 15 more touches en route to 107 total yards and his second touchdown of the year. More importantly for Campbell, the strategy nearly helped the Lions pull off the upset over the heavily favored Ravens. While it's no question that Jamaal Williams is a capable sidekick, Detroit's offense has been at its best with Swift in the backfield and it seems as if the Lions coaching staff is taking notice.

Swift (groin) rushed 14 times for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Ravens. He also caught all seven of his targets for 60 yards and threw an incomplete pass.
EDGE Analysis
Swift's two-yard touchdown run in the third accounted for all of Detroit's points through three quarters. He almost added another touchdown in the fourth quarter after catching the ball in the flat, but he was ruled just short of the end zone after turning upfield. Jamaal Williams ended up capping that drive with a one-yard score after Swift came up short again on the next play. Swift has 19 catches through three weeks and more receiving yards (166) than rushing yards (123), as he's become the focal point of a Lions offense that doesn't get much production out of its wide receivers. The 2020 second-round pick should remain busy Week 4 against the Bears.

Swift (groin) is active for Sunday's game against Baltimore, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Swift has been listed with the same injury all season, though this is the first time he's failed to log a full practice to close out the week (he was limited Wednesday through Friday). Swift has handled 19 carries and 16 targets on 66.4 percent snap share through two weeks, and he'll now take aim at a Baltimore defense that's missing three of its top four defensive linemen plus starting OLB Justin Houston.

Swift (groin) is questionable for Sunday's contest against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to the Lions' Week 2 loss at Green Bay, Swift followed an LP/LP/FP practice plan and was listed as questionable before suiting up and playing 63 percent of the offensive snaps. By game's end, he turned 12 touches into 78 yards from scrimmage, while No. 2 RB Jamaal Williams earned 39 percent of those plays and had 10 touches for 37 total yards. Swift was on a similar maintenance plan this week, logging limited sessions Wednesday through Friday. Assuming he's out there again Sunday, Swift should outpace Williams in terms of both snaps and touches.

Swift (groin) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After holding a walkthrough Wednesday, the Lions were back to a regular practice session Thursday, but Swift had a cap on his reps in both of them. The team appears to be exercising caution with the groin issue that stems from early August, but the running back still suited up in Weeks 1 and 2 on his way to 31 touches for 181 total yards and one touchdown. As for Swift's position mate, Jamaal Williams has been productive himself, with a 27-147-1 stat line, respectively.

Swift (groin) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough.
EDGE Analysis
Less than two days removed from Monday's loss at Green Bay, the Lions merely estimated activity levels for their injured players. Swift remains listed with the injury that's plagued him since early August, but it hasn't stopped him from logging better than a 60-percent share of the offensive snaps in both of the team's first two games of the season. The result has been 31 touches for 182 yards from scrimmage and one TD for Swift, while fellow RB Jamaal Williams has gone for 27-147-1, respectively. Swift will look to ditch his injury designation by week's end, but the potential exists for it to follow him into the weekend, as it did both Weeks 1 and 2.

Swift rushed eight times for 37 yards and caught four of five targets for 41 yards in Monday night's 35-17 loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Swift rotated snaps with Jamaal Williams in the first half, but then both tailbacks suffered from Detroit not having many offensive plays in the second. Fortunately, though, Swift was able to salvage some value in garbage time, hauling in three passes on the Lions' last drive. Given his promising dual-threat skill set, Swift could benefit from similar situations throughout the campaign, as was the case in Week 1 and could arise once again in a tough matchup versus the Ravens in Week 3.

Swift (groin) is active for Monday's game at Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
In the aftermath of Week 1, Swift's practice reps were capped by a groin injury, and despite getting back to a full practice Saturday he still was considered questionable to play Monday. Coach Dan Campbell said Swift was fine, though, and indeed the running back is available alongside Jamaal Williams (chest). If the season opener was any indication, Swift will log about twice as many snaps on offense as Williams, which amounted to 19 touches for 104 yards and one TD for the former against the 49ers (versus 17-110-1, respectively, for the latter).

Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Packers, but Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports the running back is expected to be available for the primetime matchup.
EDGE Analysis
Swift logged a full practice Saturday after being limited all week, confirming coach Dan Campbell's optimism regarding his injury status. Top backup Jamaal Williams also saw his injury status removed after being limited in practice all week with a chest injury, meaning that arguably two of the team's top playmakers will be available for Monday's divisional clash. That's important considering top wideout Tyrell Williams (concussion) will not play, and nominal No. 2 option Kalif Raymond also popped up on Saturday's injury report with a thigh injury.
