Chris Cooley (questionable, knee) was limited again in Friday's practice.
Cooley suffered a setback during the Redskins' Week 6 bye, needing to have his troublesome knee drained. He won't be a fantasy option against the Eagles.

Chris Cooley (knee) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
Coach Mike Shanahan admitted that Cooley had a "little setback" which necessitated having his knee drained again to remove fluid. Cooley has had more soreness this week, so his role could be reduced again versus the Eagles. We like Fred Davis as a TE1 play in Week 6.

Chris Cooley (knee) was limited in Redskins practice Wednesday.
It's a bit concerning because the Redskins are coming off a bye. Cooley is on pace for a career-low 264 yards this season and is not on the fantasy radar.

According to the Washington Examiner's John Keim, "it's hard to imagine (Chris) Cooley's role returning to what it was in the past."
Fred Davis has hauled in just five passes on nine targets his past two games, but those numbers are nearly equal to Cooley's season totals. Throw in the Redskins emphasis on throwing downfield more often and Cooley's recent injury history, and you have a midseason renaissance that's highly unlikely to happen for the eight-year veteran.

Chris Cooley caught four passes for 41 yards in Washington's Week 3 loss to Dallas, 18-16.
Cooley got the start along with Fred Davis and Washington featured two and three tight end sets throughout the night. Dallas made it a priority to key Davis out of the game and Cooley was the lucky benefactor, taking in four of five targets. Davis is still the far superior option of the duo, and Cooley should be left on the wire.

After reviewing tape of practices this week, Chris Cooley picked up on a "noticeable burst" that had been missing since the beginning of training camp.
Coach Mike Shanahan insists that Cooley still has a vital role in the offense, but he's played just 76 snaps to 116 for Fred Davis. The eye in the sky doesn't lie, and it says that Davis has been the offensive MVP through two weeks. While the Redskins will continue to play two tight ends, Davis should remain 1A to Cooley's 1B.

Chris Cooley went catch-less on two targets despite seeing an increase in snaps during Week 2.
It was the first home game of Cooley's career in which he didn't have a reception. Meanwhile, Fred Davis racked up team highs in catches (6) and receiving yards (86), and scored a touchdown. Cooley is about a TE3 in fantasy leagues.

Chris Cooley did not catch a pass in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Cooley saw two targets, but he is no longer a primary receiver in the passing game. That title belongs to the more athletic, younger Fred Davis. Cooley can be dropped in fantasy.

Chris Cooley (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Cooley was able to put in some full practices, but entered this game with a "questionable" tag. He's declining in part due to the knee woes and Fred Davis has passed him on the receiving totem pole. There are no surprises on the Redskins' inactives: WR Terrence Austin, WR Leonard Hankerson, OG Willie Smith, DL Darrion Scott, LB Markus White, LB Keyaron Fox and S LaRon Landry.

Chris Cooley (knee) has resumed practicing fully.
Cooley was limited in practice heading up to Week 1. Playing through what sounds to be considerable pain has affirmed Cooley's toughness, but has also dramatically reduced his effectiveness. Fred Davis is now the tight end to own in Washington.
