The Dolphins and Edmonds have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Edmonds' deal is for $12.6 million and includes $6.1 million guaranteed. While working in a complementary role alongside James Conner with the Cardinals last season, Edmonds logged 116 carries for 592 yards and two TDs and added 43 catches for 311 yards in 12 games. With Miami, the 25-year-old has a chance to head his new team's backfield and thus appears poised to see an uptick in touches and, in turn, fantasy relevance in 2022. Other running backs the Dolphins currently have under contract are Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Gerrid Doaks.

Edmonds rushed eight times for 28 yards in Monday night's 34-11 wild-card round loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds played despite carrying ribs and toe injuries recently, alternating time with fellow banged-up tailback James Conner (ribs) and Eno Benjamin. Although Edmonds led the team in rushes and yards on the ground, his totals were nothing special and it was Conner who scored Arizona's lone touchdown with a two-yard rush during the third quarter. Despite missing five games, Edmonds was a strong complement to Conner during the regular season, posting career highs in carries (116) and rushing yards (592) while scoring twice. He also caught 43 of 53 targets for 311 yards. After that uptick in production, the 2018 fourth-rounder is slated to enter free agency this offseason, making it unclear whether his career will continue with the Cardinals or not.

Edmonds (ribs/toe) will be joined by James Conner (ribs) in the Cardinals backfield for Monday's wild-card game at the Rams, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Edmonds emerged from prep for this contest without a designation after being listed as limited, limited and full on practice reports, Conner was questionable after managing just one capped session Saturday. The activity was enough for Conner to get the all-clear for Monday's win-or-go-home situation, but the breakdown of reps between himself and Edmonds is up in the air. In 10 games when both were available this season, Edmonds was a close second to Conner in terms of touches (135 versus 112). Having said that, Edmonds seems to be healthier than Conner, so the former could get the upper hand in snap count.

Edmonds (ribs/toe) doesn't have a designation for Monday's wild-card game at the Rams, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out the Cardinals' Week 18 loss to the Seahawks due to rib and toe issues, Edmonds practiced Thursday through Saturday and even capped the week with a full session. Meanwhile, James Conner (ribs) and Jonathan Ward (knee) followed DNP/DNP/LP regimens and have been deemed questionable to suit up Monday. Conner's status is of particular interest for Edmonds' eventual workload. A decision on Conner won't be official until 90 minutes before an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he's absent Edmonds would be poised for most of the backfield reps. When Conner missed Weeks 17 and 18 with a heel injury, Edmonds reeled off 209 yards from scrimmage and one TD on 34 rushes and 13 catches (on 15 targets).

Edmonds (ribs) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Edmonds wasn't able to take a step forward in terms of activity for the Cardinals' second practice of the week, he at least appears to be in a better spot than backfield mate James Conner (ribs), who was held out of a second straight session. Unless Conner shows tangible improvement at Saturday's practice, he'll be in jeopardy of missing Monday's wild-card game against the Rams. In that scenario, Edmonds would likely find himself in a three-down bellcow role for one of the few times all season.

Edmonds (ribs/toe) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Edmonds was back on the field to begin the week of prep after missing the Cardinals' season finale against the Seahawks with a rib injury. He's now listed with a toe issue as well, but he at least managed some activity, which can't be said for either James Conner (ribs) or Jonathan Ward (knee). On Thursday, coach Kliff Kingsbury called both Edmonds and Conner game-time calls for Monday at the Rams, but the running back himself later stated he expects to play, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site. How Edmonds and Conner fare in practice Friday and Saturday likely will determine their availability and likely breakdown of reps for the team's playoff opener.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury expects Edmonds (ribs) to be tested at Thursday's practice, Dana Scott of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kingsbury put Edmonds, James Conner (ribs/heel) and Jonathan Ward (knee) in the same category Wednesday, labeling them all as day-to-day and suggesting they would at least try to practice Thursday. Ideally, the Cardinals want Edmonds and Conner in a timeshare, but they've only had one or the other available throughout most of the second half of the season. That was the case Week 18 against Seattle with Edmonds sidelined by the rib injury, only for Conner to depart in the fourth quarter with a similar issue. With Ward also banged up, Eno Benjamin is the only healthy back on Arizona's roster as of mid-week. The Cardinals have a bit of extra time with their upcoming playoff game against the Rams scheduled for Monday.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Friday that Edmonds (ribs) will not play Sunday against the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
James Conner missed the past two games with a heel injury and may thus be limited if he makes it back for Sunday's. Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward are the backfield alternatives for an Arizona team that's playing for the win Week 18, hoping to avoid a slide from a top-three seed to a wild-card spot. Either way, Edmonds will try to make it back next weekend for the opening round of the tournament.

Edmonds (rib/toe) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Edmonds set to go down as a non-participant on the Cardinals' first two Week 18 practice reports, he looks at risk of missing Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Seahawks. Meanwhile, James Conner (heel), who missed Arizona's previous two contests, suddenly appears to be the healthier of the two backs, as he managed limited participation at Wednesday's practice and was on the field again Thursday. If Conner is cleared to play this weekend and Edmonds isn't available, the former could find himself in a three-down role.

Edmonds was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to rib and toe injuries, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds has earned back-to-back starts for an injured James Conner (heel) the last two weeks, combining for 47 touches for 209 yards from scrimmage and one TD. The elevated workload has left Edmonds compromised on the health front, though, while Conner managed a limited session to begin Week 18 prep. Edmonds will have two more chances to put himself on a path to active status Sunday versus the Seahawks, but the script again may flip for the two running backs when it comes to the top option out of the Cardinals backfield.
