Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's 22-16 overtime loss to the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Schefter, the injury is expected to sideline Edmonds for a couple weeks. If Edmonds heals quickly, he could see an expanded role behind Latavius Murray, as the Broncos waived fellow running back Melvin Gordon on Monday. Given that high-ankle sprains often require 4-to-6 weeks of recovery time, the possibility also exists that Edmonds may not heal up in time to make an impact before Denver's season ends.

Edmonds was forced out of Sunday's game against the Raiders with an ankle injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his first-quarter exit from the contest, Edmonds carried twice for six yards. In his absence, Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray are available to handle Denver's backfield duties.

Edmonds rushed two times for nine yards and caught one of two targets for zero yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
In his debut with the Broncos, Edmonds played just 15 of Denver's 80 offensive snaps. The veteran played behind both Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray, as all three backs struggled to get much going on the ground. Any hope of the offense improving after the team's bye week was quickly diminished, as the team's only touchdown was on a busted coverage allowing Russell Wilson to connect with wide receiver Jalen Virgil. The Broncos' continued offensive woes paired with what is likely to be a three-man committee at running back will likely put a cap on Edmonds' fantasy potential. However, it would make sense to see his involvement increase as the season progresses. The 26-year-old will look to take a step forward when the Broncos host the Raiders in Week 11, though he will be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

The Dolphins agreed to trade Edmonds, a 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 fourth-rounder to the Broncos for pass rusher Bradley Chubb and a 2025 fifth-round selection Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
In the wake of Javonte Williams' season-ending ACL tear, Denver has operated with a timeshare out of the backfield, and Edmonds will be another piece for coach Nathaniel Hackett in that regard, joining Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. It's unclear what kind of role Edmonds can expect in his new locale, but in five campaigns between Arizona and Miami, he's averaged 4.5 yards per carry, hauled in 76 percent of his 181 targets and scored 17 touchdowns in 65 games.

Edmonds carried the ball four times for 14 yard during Sunday's 31-27 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds has now logged less than 4.0 yards per carry in seven of eight appearances this season, while Raheem Mostert (80 all-purpose yards versus the Lions) has emerged as the clear No. 1 option in Miami's backfield. Until such time as Edmonds shows some of the efficiency and versatility he flashed during his tenure with the Cardinals, his only fantasy value is as a backup option in case Mostert were to miss time.

Edmonds rushed seven times for 17 yards and failed to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds' struggles continued as Raheem Mostert (20 touches for 106 combined yards and a score) keeps proving that he is the superior back in Miami. The 26-year-old received his second highest carry total this season, but he remained ineffective (2.4 YPC) on the ground while having no impact in the passing game. It is hard to recommend even rostering a player performing this poorly, but Edmonds could find himself back in the fantasy conversation quickly if the oft-injured Mostert goes down at any point this season. For now, Edmonds should be considered an underperforming backup heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Lions.

Edmonds had two carries for three yards and secured both of his targets for 28 yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
He was again overshadowed by Raheem Mostert, who had 14 carries for 49 yards and also saw two targets. Edmonds has now handled less than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in every contest since Week 1 and saw just a 39 percent load versus Minnesota. Until fantasy managers see proof that he has reclaimed a sizeable role in Miami's offense, he should be left on the bench or waiver wire in most formats.

Edmonds rushed once for one yard and failed to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Raheem Mostert mustered 122 scrimmage yards and a touchdown as Miami's clear lead back, while Alain Poupart of Sports Illustrated Fan Nation points out that Myles Gaskin supplanted Edmonds as Miami's change-of-pace back following a pair of dropped passes by Edmonds. Gaskin turned four carries and five targets into 33 scrimmage yards. It's too early to tell whether Edmonds' benching will carry over into Week 6 against the Vikings, but he'll be tough to trust regardless after generating fewer than 30 yards in each of his last three games.

Fri 9/30/22 12:32 AM

Edmonds rushed five times for six yards and brought in two of three targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 27-15 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Edmonds logged 10 fewer carries than backfield mate Raheem Mostert, but he was able to find the end zone for the third time in the last two games via a seven-yard touchdown reception with seven seconds remaining in the first half. Edmonds has generated just 85 yards on 28 carries over his first four games, but he does have a pair of rushing scores along with Thursday's receiving touchdown, his first of the season. Edmonds figures to remain in a complementary role, albeit one that includes a solid red-zone presence thus far, irrespective of whether it's Tua Tagovailoa (head/neck) or Teddy Bridgewater under center for a Week 5 AFC East road showdown against the Jets a week from Sunday.

Edmonds rushed six times for 21 yards and two touchdowns and secured his only target for six yards in the Dolphins' 21-19 win over the Bills on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
A week after the team's air attack took center stage, Edmonds recorded two of the Dolphins' three touchdowns with one- and three-yard runs in the first and fourth quarter, respectively. The veteran back has opened his Miami tenure with sub-par efficiency -- he's toughed out 79 yards on 23 carries -- but the pair of trips to the end zone naturally made his fantasy day Sunday. Edmonds and backfield mate Raheem Mostert (eight carries) had a near-even split of the rushing work Sunday, so the former certainly remains a viable fantasy option for Thursday night's Week 4 road showdown against the Bengals.
