Keenum will start Sunday's game versus the Lions, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Mike Zimmer relayed Thursday that Sam Bradford won't play in Week 4 as a result of a bone bruise in his left knee, handing the keys to the offense to Keenum for a third straight game. Keenum has been hit or miss in two starts to date, posting a putrid 167 yards at Pittsburgh in Week 2 before exploding for a career-best 369 yards this past Sunday against the Buccaneers. He'll more than likely settle somewhere in the middle this weekend against Detroit's 22nd-ranked pass defense.

Keenum completed 25 of 33 passes for 369 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Buccaneers. He also gained 18 yards on six rushes.
EDGE Analysis
To say that Keenum's effort came out of nowhere would likely be an understatement, as he looked like a completely different quarterback than the one who struggled to a pedestrian 167-yard passing day against the Steelers in Week 2. The 29-year-old extended his winning streak against the Bucs to three games with the victory and led the Vikings on scoring drives of seven, 13 and six plays in the first half. He spread the ball around effectively as well, hitting eight different pass catchers and connecting with Stefon Diggs twice and veteran Jarius Wright once for his scoring throws. With Sam Bradford's status for Week 4 murky at best, Keenum may be called upon again to helm the offense against the division-rival Lions.

With Sam Bradford (knee) ruled out, Keenum will start Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bradford was held out of Friday's practice and is now getting a second opinion on his surgically-repaired left knee. Keenum was totally ineffective in his last start, completing 20 of 37 passes for 167 yards, despite playing with a solid receiving corps and the benefit of an efficient running game. Facing a Tampa Bay defense that shut down the Bears last week, Keenum is a bottom-five option among Week 3 starting quarterbacks. His presence under center necessitates major downgrades for the rest of the Minnesota offense.

Keenum completed 20 of 37 pass attempts for 167 yards during Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Pressed into action because of an injury to Sam Bradford (knee), Keenum struggled to make plays downfield and wound up averaging a measly 4.4 yards per attempt. The length of a potential absence for Bradford has been surrounded by murky details, but Keenum's performance Sunday indicates that he shouldn't be relied upon as a fantasy starter. If he remains the top option for Week 3, a home matchup against the Buccaneers is on tap.

Keenum will start in place of Sam Bradford (knee) on Sunday at Pittsburgh, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The "will he or won't he play" has been answered for Bradford, who will yield the offense to the direction of Keenum. In five campaigns between the Texans and Rams, Keenum started 24 of his 26 appearances, averaging 216 yards per start and posting a 24:20 TD:INT ratio overall.

Keenum looks to begin the season as Sam Bradford's backup. He was said to be in a close race with Taylor Heinicke for the backup quarterback role, but has outplayed him in the preseason.

Keenum is signing with the Vikings, Mark Berman of FOX26 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keenum's deal with Minnesota is for one year and worth $2 million, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. The veteran began last season as the Rams' starting quarterback, but relinquished those duties to then-rookie Jared Goff after an inauspicious nine-game stretch. Overall, Keenum finished with 2,201 yards, nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 10 appearances. While that display has likely ruled him out of being considered as a starter going forward, the 29-year-old embodies a decent backup option to Sam Bradford in Minnesota, where Teddy Bridgewater's (knee) status for the upcoming campaign remains uncertain.

Keenum (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 17 tilt versus the Cardinals, Myles A. Simmons of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year signal-caller will once again take a seat and leave the quarterbacking duties to Jared Goff and Sean Mannion.
