Keenum resides at the top of the depth chart at quarterback in the early days of training camp, the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The notion to allow 2016 No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff to earn the top quarterback job in Los Angeles isn't ill-advised, but it's likely only a matter of time, whether during the preseason or regular season, before Keenum is supplanted from his current perch. For the time being, though, Keenum will serve as the top signal caller in advance of the Rams' first season in southern California since 1994.

Keenum will likely serve as Jared Goff's safety net, the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Los Angeles has a glut at quarterback, with the No. 1 overall draft pick joined by Keenum, Nick Foles and 2015 third-rounder Sean Mannion. It appears the team will trade or release Foles, and there don't seem to be any real plans for Mannion. After signing a first-round RFA tender (worth about $3.6 million), Keenum figures to compete with Goff for the starting job, though it may be a competition in name only. A three-year starter in college, the 21-year-old Goff figures to take the reins sooner rather than later. It will be a surprise if he isn't under center in Week 1.

Keenum signed his first-round tender with the Rams on Monday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keenum's deal will earn him about $3.6 million for this season, but with the Rams expected to draft a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick, it's unclear if Keenum's future remains in Los Angeles. With Nick Foles also on the Rams' roster after signing a two-year, $24.5 million deal last offseason, Keenum is a far more affordable trade option for potential suitors, although Los Angeles would probably rather get rid of Foles. Either way, it wouldn't be surprising if one of the team's veteran signal-callers is dealt prior to training camp.

Keenum will be the Rams' starting quarterback at the beginning of this season, according to general manager Les Snead, NFL Network's Erin Coscarelli reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keenum's vote of confidence from Snead comes after the Rams tendered him a first-round qualifying offer earlier this month, virtually ensuring he'll remain with the team this season. While Los Angeles will almost certainly add a quarterback through the draft, Keenum has now been tabbed by both Snead and coach Jeff Fisher as the Rams' starter heading into the upcoming campaign, when the job will be his to lose.

Keenum was extended a first-round qualifying offer from the Rams, the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keenum was designated by coach Jeff Fisher as the Rams' starting quarterback heading into training camp, and by being extended a qualifying offer, Los Angeles can now match any offer Keenum receives from another team this offseason. Furthermore, even if Keenum signs elsewhere, the Rams would be granted that team's first-round pick in return. That makes Keenum a near certainty to be with the Rams this season, and although the team is widely expected to draft a quarterback as well, Keenum would be in competition to start once training camp rolls around.

Head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday that Keenum enters the offseason as the Rams' starting quarterback, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As a restricted free agent, Keenum is the only quarterback on the roster that will be subject to free agency in the coming months, with both Nick Foles and Sean Mannion signed through the end of the 2016 season, at the very least. Considering the preceding, Keenum will almost certainly return to the Rams, though a veteran addition or player selected in the NFL Draft could place his current status in question. In six outings in the recently-completed campaign, he was risk averse but far from explosive, completing 61 percent (76 of 125) of his passes for 828 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

Keenum completed 22 of 37 passes for 231 yards with no touchdowns in Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss at San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Keenum was serviceable in the five starts he made during the second half of the season, although he wasn't really asked to do much, completing more than 14 passes just once. Nick Foles is clearly not the answer at QB for the Rams, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Keenum is the solution either. Thus, it will be interesting to see what the team does in the offseason, but in all likelihood, they'll either acquire or draft another QB.

Keenum completed 14 of 23 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 upset win against the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
A week after a near flawless performance against Tampa Bay, Keenum wasn't asked to do much, as the Rams defense controlled things. He did manage to toss a pretty 28-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt in the second quarter, helping St. Louis win at Seattle for the first time in 10 years. If you need Keenum next week, take note that he'll play at San Francisco, which has been much better defensively at home this season.

Keenum completed 14 of 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 31-23 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Both touchdowns came in the opening quarter, with Keenum first hitting Tavon Austin on a 17-yard screen pass, and then connecting with a wide-open Kenny Britt for a 60-yard score. Keenum also engineered touchdown drives in the second and third quarters, but he didn't have a single pass attempt in the final 18 minutes of the game. Although he'll likely have to throw far more often next week in Seattle, the inevitable nosedive in inefficiency will make it tough for Keenum to produce similar numbers. He does get a favorable matchup in Week 17 in San Francisco.

Keenum connected on 14 of 22 passes for 124 yards and an interception in Sunday's win over the Rams. He added two rushes for two yards.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday featured some uninspired play from Keenum, who was tasked to manage the game, limit turnovers and hand the ball off to St. Louis' lone star - Todd Gurley. Keenum, or whoever the Rams trot out under center, is one of the few NFL quarterbacks deserving of zero fantasy interest. All you need to know about the fourth-year signal caller is that Todd Gurley's 140 yards on Sunday were more than Keenum has thrown for in either of his starts this season.
