Meredith is on the periphery of the passing attack in Chicago, but the absence of Eddie Royal (knee) could result in his first snaps since Week 6. On the season, Meredith has managed eight catches (on 11 targets) for 95 yards in five appearances.

Though the undrafted rookie lacks in pedigree, at 6-foot-3 and with speed to burn, Meredith makes for an interesting developmental player for the Bears. However, any opportunities he earns in the passing game over the balance of the season will likely be tied to the health of the team's more established wideouts week in and week out.

Though Meredith wasn't expected to serve in much more than a special teams capacity, the undrafted rookie surprisingly finished fourth on the team in targets. Meredith will likely head back to the inactive list this week against the Seahawks if Jeffery is healthy enough to suit up, but his performance in Week 2 may make the Bears reluctant to expose him to waivers if injuries compromise the team's depth at other positions later in the year.

He impressed the coaching staff with his good size and hands and willingness to block, but he could be at risk of being cut once some of those other receivers regain full health.
