Brandon Jacobs (knee) is listed as probable for Week 8. The probable tag means a player is "virtually certain" to be available for his normal role. For Jacobs, that means he should get somewhere around 10 touches against the Dolphins. He'd likely need a goal-line TD to help you.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) was limited again in Thursday's practice. Jacobs insists he has no limitations physically, so it sounds like the Giants are simply easing him back in. According to Matchups guru Evan Silva, Jacobs has averaged 10 touches for 44 yards compared to Ahmad Bradshaw's 17.5 touches for 87 yards in the four games both backs have been at full health.

In a recent interview with Men's Fitness magazine, Brandon Jacobs made it clear that he does not envision himself with the Giants beyond this season. Jacobs believes he and Ahmad Bradshaw have both been underutilized. "I just can't wait to get a true opportunity to get out there and show myself again," said Jacobs. "Next year, hopefully. This is a business and you have to look at it that way. ... It's going to have to be for another team, but it is what it is. It comes with the territory." Jacobs is due a $500,000 bonus in March in addition to a $4.4 million base salary in 2012. It's good bet that he'll get his wish at age 29.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) returned to Giants practice Monday. Jacobs missed the two games prior to the bye due to a sprained MCL. Now that the swelling is down and he's been off for more than three weeks, he appears ready to go for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Jacobs was averaging 10.5 touches per game before going down. Defensive end Justin Tuck (neck/groin) and right guard Chris Snee (concussion) also practiced Monday.

Although he missed Tuesday's bye-week practice, Brandon Jacobs (knee) insists he will return to game action against the Dolphins. "No question about it," said Jacobs. "No doubt in my mind." The pain and swelling in his knee are "almost gone," so he'll be good to go after resting for the remainder of this week. Ahmad Bradshaw will head back to low-end RB2 status as the lead-back in a committee. It's not a bad idea to sell high in the bye week after three Week 6 touchdowns.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) was held out of Tuesday's bye-week practice. It's what we would expect with two weeks before the Giants' next game. Jacobs will likely be held out until next Wednesday's practice. At this point, his status for Week 8 is in question.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) has been ruled out for Week 6 against Buffalo. Jacobs will miss a second straight game with an incredibly swollen knee. Giants S Antrel Rolle described it as "volleyball" sized earlier in the week. Jacobs will try to use the Week 7 bye to manage the swelling and get back on the practice field before Week 8. Ahmad Bradshaw may flirt with 30 touches against the Bills' weak run defense, which may be minus NT Kyle Williams (ankle).
