Brandon Jacobs (knee) was participating at Giants practice Thursday. At this point, we can consider Jacobs highly unlikely to play against the Bills Sunday. He hasn't been on the field since October 2 and the Giants have their bye in Week 7. Ahmad Bradshaw has RB1 appeal in what's shaping up as a dream matchup.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) will not practice Wednesday. Jacobs hasn't played or practiced since October 2. With the Giants' bye looming in Week 7, it's very possible he'll just target a Week 8 return. Ahmad Bradshaw is looking at another 20 touches this week against a Bills defense that is giving up an astounding 5.5 yards per carry so far this season.

According to teammate Antrel Rolle, there was "no way" Brandon Jacobs could have played last week because his knee was "the size of a volleyball with the fluid in it." "I saw his knee first-hand," said Rolle, "and I don't see how he could have played." Rolle's description and the upcoming bye suggest Jacobs' status will be very much in doubt for this week's game against a Bills defense allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing backs. Ahmad Bradshaw may be joining the ranks of the RB1s.

Giants declared RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) and DE Justin Tuck (neck/groin) inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Jacobs is dealing with a mild MCL sprain, turning Ahmad Bradshaw into a candidate for 20-25 touches. Danny Ware will serve as the backup. Mega-talent Jason Pierre-Paul will fill in once again for Tuck. The Giants will also be playing without their starting center, David Bass (burner). The rest of their inactives: WR Michael Clayton, T James Brewer, OL Mitch Petrus and CB Prince Amukamara.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) was held out of practice again on Friday. Hardly a shocker after multiple Friday morning reports that Jacobs is dealing with a "mild" MCL sprain. The Giants may list him as a game-time decision, but Jacobs seems unlikely to play at this point. Ahmad Bradshaw will take on a bigger workload, and Danny Ware will likely function as the backup against Seattle.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Brandon Jacobs' knee injury is a sprained MCL. It's a bit of a surprise considering Jacobs' Thursday comments, which included the phrase "just waiting to be unleashed." Jacobs expects to practice Friday, though that now seems less than a sure thing. His status is up in the air for this week's game.

Coach Tom Coughlin is taking a wait-and-see approach to Brandon Jacobs' (knee) status for Week 5 after the big back was held out again on Thursday. Coughlin did note that Jacobs wanted to practice on Thursday, but doctors held him out for one more day to be safe. It sounds like Jacobs will likely practice on Friday, putting him on track to play against the Seahawks.

Brandon Jacobs (knee) sat out Giants practice once again Thursday. Jacobs was expected to be back today, so we're on alert now. He's scheduled to speak with the media today and update his status. If Jacobs is out or limited for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Ahmad Bradshaw is a good bet to push for 25 touches. The Giants project to be protecting a lead for most of the day.

Brandon Jacobs was added to the Giants' injury report Wednesday due to swelling in his knee. The Giants don't sound concerned with Jacobs. He's been listed as day to day and is scheduled to return to practice Thursday. Jacobs has three touchdowns already this season and the Giants figure to be protecting a lead against the Seahawks Sunday. He'll be a very viable flex play during this bloated bye week.

Brandon Jacobs carried the ball nine times for 18 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Cardinals, and added one catche for no yardage. Jacobs' touchdown came on a power run up the middle from the goal-line, and was the only thing worth writing home about in this lackluster performance. He's on pace for 464 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground and 16 receptions, 236 yards and four touchdowns in the air. Compare that to 912 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground and 60 receptions, 476 yards and 4 touchdowns in the air for Ahmad Bradshaw. Jacobs remains no more than a flex play in most formats.
