In his Monday press conference, Texans coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Andre Johnson (hamstring) is "gonna miss some time." "We're gonna get a couple different opinions," said Kubiak. "He's gonna miss some time. ... There's big concern, obviously." Kubiak wouldn't put any concrete timetable on Johnson's injury, but it sounds like the Texans are bracing for a multi-week absence. Kubiak confirmed that Jacoby Jones will step into the starting lineup, opposite Kevin Walter. Fantasy owners need to hang onto Johnson, but it's possible that he won't be on the field anytime soon.

The Texans fear Andre Johnson (hamstring) may miss at least few weeks, according to CBS' Mike Freeman. Johnson's pulled hamstring certainly looked severe as he went down in a heap during the second quarter yesterday. But he was scheduled for a Monday MRI, so no one can be exactly sure yet how long the stud wideout will be sidelined. Owners can add Jacoby Jones in the meantime.

The Texans are initially characterizing Andre Johnson's hamstring injury as a "pull." "He is going to get an MRI and we'll see," said owner Bob McNair. "He pulled a hamstring and hopefully it won't keep him out too long." Added coach Gary Kubiak, "All I can tell you is right now we think its hamstring related. It's in the lower leg. ... The way he went down was deflating because it was like he just got shot so that scares the heck out of you." Expect a Johnson update by Monday afternoon at the latest.

Andre Johnson caught four passes for 36 yards in Week 4 against Pittsburgh. Johnson was in line for a monster game before leaving midway through the second quarter with a strained right hamstring. He was seen on the sideline in a t-shirt midway through the fourth quarter, meaning he won't return. On the bright side, team trainers felt comfortable enough to let him pace around the team bench without any sort of leg support.

Andre Johnson left Sunday's Week 4 game against Pittsburgh midway through the second quarter with a right knee injury. Johnson was running in the open flat with the ball and suddenly fell to the ground untouched, clutching his right leg after hitting the turf. It's an injury that looked serious at first glance, but Johnson limped off the field on his own power. We'll be sure to bring you an update as soon as we know more. Jacoby Jones will get looks as long as Johnson stays sidelined.

Andre Johnson (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday but is listed as probable for Week 4. The probable tag means the player is considered "virtually certain" to be available for his normal duties. Johnson pinned 10 catches and 112 yards on the Steelers in their last meeting. He'll get Ike Taylor again this weekend.

Andre Johnson missed Texans practice Wednesday with a sore knee. Johnson said his knee was "just a little bit sore," and that he will return to practice on Thursday. Barring a setback, it's not a concern heading into Sunday's showdown with the Steelers.

Andre Johnson reeled off 128 yards on seven catches as the Texans fell to the Saints in Week 3. Johnson has at least 93 yards in each of Houston's first three games. Dominant over the middle and deep down the field Sunday, Johnson had 104 yards by the midway point in the first half. The Saints then took steps to slow Johnson down, and Houston's entire offense sputtered in the final two quarters. Johnson will continue to be an elite WR1 play in Week 4 against Pittsburgh.

Andre Johnson caught seven passes for 95 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's blowout of the Colts. Johnson had a high pass deflect off his hands which led to an interception in the first quarter, but he quickly redeemed himself. The Colts' tiny corners had no prayer of containing Johnson, who did anything he wanted for the entire first half. The Texans took a 34-0 lead into the half and then just ran the clock out. If the game was close, Johnson would have pushed for 200 yards receiving.
